Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 37-36-1, +2.07) well fwiw, svp had seattle last week. and as i said above, he loves going against the public. he has only picked 2 favorites this year. one this week in the chargers and air force was the other one i believe about a month or so ago and they covered easily. and it seems as though he has some decent inside info as far as where the bets/money are going towards. but i do agree with what you are saying about most tv guys. unless someone is on a ridiculous hot streak i don't pay attention to them. it just seems to me that svp "gets it" more than most.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 37-36-1, +2.07) Maybe I will have to start listening to SVP a little. Where are his lines available, if I don't catch his show.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 37-36-1, +2.07) Comrade posted them in here this week. I hope he continues to do so.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 37-36-1, +2.07) i will continue to post his plays every week. but if you want to listen you can go here, which also shows his and ryen russillo's picks for the week. http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/story?page=09winners

Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 37-36-1, +2.07) Two horrible CFB weeks in a row. I have always said the time to make money is at the beginning and the end of the year. The middle, you just need to hold on. My beginning started great, which is why I started my own thread. I like everyone winning against Vegas. However, it is not looking good. The underdogs are going to save my weekend this week in the NFL...I hope.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) Fade Material??? GL Gspeed. As you know this is a streaky pastime and it will change for you.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) Fade Material??? you're right, the middle is always tough. all about survival. not sure about you, but when i find myself in a cold streak i either dial back the amount of games (which usually doesn't happen haha) or cut the amount of what i would normally wager in half until i crawl out of the hole i've created. hang in there man. bol on the nfl today.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) Fade Material??? RML: Vikings -3.5 (1* to win 1.7*)
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) New week is being added... 2*: Oregon St. -2.5 4*: (upped from 1, but bought half, to win 3.2) FSU -3
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) New week is being added... 4*: Kentucky +7 (I put this in this morning. It is currently at 6.5. I would put it at 3* for 6.5 or 6.)
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) My first 5* - Duke +14!!! Unofficial CFB Week 9: 5*: Duke +14 4*: Kentucky +7 (I got this early in the week. It is currently at 6.5) FSU -3 (bought .5, to win 3.2) What the fuck!?! This game should not have been close. Sickening. 3*: Indiana +3 2*: Oregon St. -2.5 Michigan -3 Nebraska -7 (to win 1.5) 1*: Florida -1 Parlay: Duke +14, Kentucky +7, FSU -3 (bought .5 on Kentucky and FSU, to win 5.1) Indiana ML (to win 1.4) .5*: (Just for fun) Duke +14, Kentucky +7, FSU -3, Baylor +7, Iowa -6, Nebraska -7 (to win 19.9) Well that first one wasn't very fun. Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) My first 5* - Duke +14!!! why are you so high on duke?
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) My first 5* - Duke +14!!! I think this is somewhat of a let down game for Navy. It is easy to get up for Notre Dame; a team that Navy puts all of their effort in to. Now they have to go up against Duke. Secondly, I love betting games where one team looked better than they are the week before and another team looked worse than they are the week before. Both occurred. Navy kills Notre Dame and Duke gets killed. The public bets hard on these type of games, most times on the wrong team. 80% of the public is on Navy, the line has gone down from +14.5 to +13 some places. That is a key 1.5 points. Over two touchdowns to now under by a point. Duke has lost to two team by more than 15 points. Bama and VT. Bama is one of the better teams in the country if not the best. And Virginia Tech is now playing like a top ten team and it was the week before their bye (teams often play well before byes). Navy has one win above 14 points all year, and in my opinion it is one of the Superbowl type games for them (Notre Dame).
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) My first 5* - Duke +14!!! 3*: Indiana +3 This is a great spot for Indiana. After last week I don't know if Northwestern even comes to this game. Secondly, Indiana is the best (ranking wise) passing team that Northwestern has faced. Northwestern has held two D1A teams under 200 yards passing: Minnesota - whom they only beat by one point, and Purdue - who is ranked 105th passing and who beat Northwestern. Vandy is 106th in passing and put up 240 passing yards on them, and Central Michigan is 19th in passing yards and put up 347 yards passing (they have two wins - Hampton and E. Michigan). Indiana also lost by a lot, but it was against Illinois who I think is pretty darn good. Indiana has lost once at home this season, and covered in their lost (against Michigan). Indiana wins this game, and it may not be close. I am also taking the ML, and if I can find a RML as well. 1*: Indiana ML (to win 1.4*)
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) My first 5* - Duke +14!!! I'm not trying to talk you out of a play, but I watched the WF game and Wake scored 2 TDs while trying to run the clock out. Not saying Dook won't cover, but if they do, I think the Over may be the better play. Just my opinion. Hope it hits for you, kinda. (Fuck Dook :curses:)
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) My first 5* - Duke +14!!! Thanks for the input, but this even furthers my point. Duke doesn't quit. Even if the game is out of reach, they are going to keep fighting until the end, while the leading team may ease up.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) My first 5* - Duke +14!!! Good point. Their QB is very good, their WRs suck. BOL.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) This is my favorite week so far Adding: 2*: Michigan -3 Penn St. is not very good at all. They are starting the wrong quarterback. Michigan is coming off of a bye. Michigan's defense is one of the worse, but it is particularly bad against the pass. I don't think PSU can pass the ball. They will put up points against Michigan, but not enough. 1*: Baylor +7.5
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) This is my favorite week so far .5* Parlay: Baylor +7.5, Kentucky +7, Duke +14, Michigan -3, Indiana +4 (I bought a few points across the board here, to win 10.6)

Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) This is my favorite week so far Helluva call on Dook.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 42-44-2, -7.07) This is my favorite week so far Thanks man. I don't do 5 star plays very often. I am pissed at myself that I didn't put something small on them ML.

Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 46-50-4, -6.67) I like alot of your plays this week. That fucking Clemson play is haunting me. I get the wrong side every time. Really want to play this week because I know they will win, any insight to talk me into it? GL.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 46-50-4, -6.67) Heel, First and foremost, why is Clemson favored over a ranked team? Why is 60%+ of the public on NC State and the game has gone from 2.5 to 4? To some that does not sound like much, however, jumping right over three and getting to a key number like four is significant movement. Clemson has lost one game at home this season. That game was against Miami. Kyle Parker had zero touchdowns and three interceptions in that game. A game where they had a very good shot to win in the fourth (Parker had two ints in the fourth). Miami has a good defense, NC State does not. NC State's first win in the ACC was against GT, the next week? They lost to VT. NC State's second win in the ACC was against Boston College, the next week? They lost to East Carolina. Their third ACC win was against FSU, the next week? Struggling Clemson on the road at a dreadful noon game. I firmly believe if FSU would have ran more, they would have won that game rather easily. NC State sucks against the run. When they lost to VT, they gave up 280 yards rushing. Ty Jones of FSU had 100 yards rushing, even though he only touched the ball three times in the second half. Clemson will be rocking, and they will be carrying the rock early and often. Clemson 31-21.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 46-50-4, -6.67) Adding: 2*: Duke +1 UCLA +4.5 1*: Vandy +14 Tulane +10
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 46-50-4, -6.67) I made these yesterday... 1.5* Pitt -6 1.5* U48 .5* Pitt-6/U48 (to win 1.1)
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 51-56-4, -10.67) Unofficial Official NFL Plays: 4*: Seahawks +3 Panthers +7 3*: Colts/Bengals O47.5 2*: Vikings -1 1*: Jets -3 Lions +1 Broncos +1 ML Parlay: Panthers, Seahawks (1 to win 7.9)
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 51-60-4, -18.67) 4* Miami Dolphins -2 Why are the books giving more money to bet the Bears than even? The Bears beat a Vikings team who should have lost to Arizona, not to mention Percy was non-existent vs the Bears. Before the Vikings game, everyone thought that the Bears were overrated and bad...now people are buying into them. The Dolphins are playing a 3rd string QB, but lets be honest, their 3 quarterbacks are not that good...what I am saying is that it does not matter who is playing QB for them. The Bears are not very good. I love this spot for the Dolphins and hate it for the Bears. Last week's game was huge for the Bears, now they have to go to Miami. 24-17 Dolphins.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 54-65-4, -24.27) I like these lines, and think they could go the wrong way for me. 2*: USF +3 North Carolina -2
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 54-65-4, -24.27) You had me @ 4*. JK, I like the Fins in this spot. Thigpen is a decent QB, I know he was 1-10 with the Chiefs, but I think he was the leading rushing QB in the NFL and that OL was shit tier. Was leaning to this side as well, nice to see you on it. Let's get the $.
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 54-65-4, -24.27) FADE ME!!!!!! Fade me, and you just may make thousands. I have made positive money three years in a row. This looks to be an impossible hole to climb out of. Anyways...here's the plays to fade. I will be gone all day; at the FSU/ Maryland game, so no updates. 2*: Michigan +4.5 North Carolina -2.5 Indiana +10.5 Clemson -14 Stanford -6 (bought .5, to win 1.65) FSU -4 (I wanted this to get to 3; I also wanted to middle at 7 and 3. Neither happened.) S. Florida +3 Boston College -7 (bought .5, to win 1.65)
Re: Godspeed's Betting Thread (YTD: 54-65-4, -24.27) FADE ME!!!!!! Sorry I'm late with your fade plays.
