If someone can answer these two questions, much obliged Spoiler for the life of me, I don't remember who Andrew Russell was, the son of Emma and Mark. When did we see him in the 2014 movie and when did he die? Or is the son just alluded to and we never saw his death? Also, explain how the ancient, huge and towering underwater city where Godzilla lives got there? How did that come to be so far under?
She is a main character. In the majority of scenes. My opinion, not too spoiler-y Spoiler For me? Too much. Same for most characters. There is, again, a legitimate gripe with more 2014 acting and human screen time. A couple of the scenes were dulled with ill timed humor that reached or with what we had in the previous Godzilla
This sums it up. If you go to the movie expecting anything else rather than a true Godzilla movie, you'll side with the critics. If you have a compass for judging the movie in the Godzilla way, you won't be disappointed. May be one of the best.
Kind of a spoiler but not really... Spoiler as much as Godzilla is a complete badass, Mothra stole the show whenever she was on screen imo
I enjoyed it. Don't go in thinking too hard and you will really find it a good movie. There are a few parts that you really have to BELIEVE, but its a fucking GODZILLA movie. and of course the overacting and just the few badly timed writing, dialog, and comedy spots that can be expected in a movie like this but the action was pretty fucking great as well as the overall story and picture setting up for more. If you didn't enjoy this movie, you are either thinking way too hard or just a fucking miserable person... and there is an end credit scene so stick around!
Mega BigBoobs? Is that supposed to be a monster? Spoiler dude, shes like 14, calm down. but yes, she has a big part in the movie
Just got out of IMAX showing. Really liked it. Emma pretty much hit the nail on the head for how I feel. Godzilla's roar and the sound leading up to him breathing fire are just so damn awesome.
My 7 was in it with two of his toys. Godzilla 2014 and shin Godzilla toys. He loved it. Honestly they could have removed all the human scenes and the movie would have been better imo that's how good the monster scenes were.
Enjoyed it. Thought it was overstuffed and thus overly long but satisfying. Post credits scene was a letdown.
It was a better Pacific Rim, and I love Pacific Rim for what it is. Spoiler I have no idea how Kong is supposed to be able to fight Godzilla. I remember John C. Reilly’s character saying that Kong was still growing, but Godzilla literally melted a city. I know it isn’t a permanent thing, but damn.
Word is Kong is a little over 100 feet now, and he'll be using his superior intelligence to combat Godzilla, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them having to team up by the end of the film.
That’s probably true, but I can’t shake the fact that Godzilla shooting out nuke breath and kong swinging a skyscraper like a club aren’t equal. I’m sure they’ll think of something to even the playing field. I liked the setup during the credits with them saying some of the monsters were doing to skull island, as if to cast their support for Kong.
Whole family wished that the story had been better, but we all greed that the visual effects were spectacular
Pretty much the same reaction as everyone else. Giant monsters fighting: awesome. Everything else: not good, but not as bad as the 2014 movie
Had fun though, particularly enjoyed Bostonians finally being forced to rebuild their shit hole baseball stadium
