I got fit into the C Taper Lite a few years back and absolutely hated it, felt like swinging rebar. Can’t imagine how much worse the C Taper would feel, those things are stout. I’ve got the KBS Tours now and like them a lot, have heard great things about the $ Taper too
Haha. Yeah, that’s pretty much how I felt too, but I could at least tolerate that aspect. What got me was the complete inability to identify where I was hitting the ball on the face due to dampened impact. After a particularly shitty session, I sprayed some foot powder on the face. Center and high toe were virtually indistinguishable. Fuck that
I actually got fit for my wedges at club champion and ended up spending way more than I had planned. Talking with the fitter we thought with what I like to do the v wedge was the perfect compliment and then we have all of the wedges in the gap wedge length, which I’ve actually ended up loving. Or the fitter just thought hmm let’s just up charge this guy, fuck him.
That’s interesting. I had recently purchased the Callaway MD5 54/58 because they gapped better with the P790s. DG Tour Issue 115s. Incorrect gaps for the T200s, so now I’ve got a 52/56/60 en route to replace my grooveless Clevelands. The Tour Issue felt fine and were way better than wedge flex, but I’d be curious see the difference between them and KBS

Haha. Yeah. Collection currently. I need to sell a lot of stuff, and I’m not looking forward to the process. I will say it’s been nice having multiple extra sets on hand when people visit though. It’d be nice if one would work out. Think I narrowly avoided getting into hoarder territory a couple nights ago. I found the set I played in high school on eBay and had them in the shopping cart. Cleveland TA3 gunmetals. Friend thankfully talked me out of the purchase. Would have been $400 down the shitter
I was there a few years ago. I wanted a set of Ap1’s and then found a decent set of mp67’s and then just started collecting random things. I’ve sold everything off except my first set of irons in ms/hs and half of my putters. Also the 72* wedge that no one wants.

I'd go somewhere and hit the stealth vs the older Sims. Haven't hit them but we have them in the pro shop where I work and pretty sure the wood doesn't have the carbon fiber face like the driver.
