We had some kind of tournament at our club last month and a dude got arrested for assault and banned from the club.

    not necessarily in order but:

PGA West Stadium is fun if you like the challenge (I do, some don't)
PGA West Nicklaus probably has the best greens during the summer (still firm and fast, not overly grown out like everywhere else)
Indian Wells Players course is always in great shape (so is the other course there Celebrity, but Players is better IMO)
Desert Willow (Firecliff > Mountain View)
Shadow Ridge is a fun layout if you like courses where you have multiple club options off the tee
PGA West Pete Dye Mountain is fun scenery and the course is solid

Thanks y'all. Looking for next Sat, so options were very limited unless we wanted to tee off in 115 degree heat. Escena had early slots, so Escena it is

My buddy is the concierge at the Ritz so PM me in the future if you need to get set up somewhere in Palm Springs.

Spikeless wearing guys, do you ever feel like you wished you had more traction? Considering that option while shopping on the FootJoy site.

Either getting the Pro|SL Carbon or the Packard BOA.

It looks like every shot is taken with 50% power and she couldn't hit it further than 150 yds. But she obviously does.

I definitely catch myself slipping in the morning dew or if it’s wet at all, so think I’ve decided to go back to soft spikes moving forward. Just ordered some FJ hyperflex boa.

I wore the Pro SL carbons for a while and always had plenty of traction with those. I rotate a few pairs of Trues now and find that they have slightly less traction and have had a couple slips but nothing that has made me want to switch back

I got the FJ Flex from my pro shop because I wanted something more comfortable to walk in on a whim. They are not comfortable, provide no support, slipped and slid down a massive hill, developed massive blisters, etc. Throwing them away. So not those

out here as long as you don't play before 8 AM it's not wet at all so I just wear whatever non-golf sneakers are comfortable, usually Nike Prestos or 270s, and I never have any issues :idk:

I never find any of the golf versions of sneakers that comfortable. the Nike ones especially feel tiny as shit and they're never anywhere in my size

Regardless of brand or spiked/spikeless, I highly recommend BOA shoes.

The simplicity of slipping them on, a couple of clicks and I’m ready to play has been great. I bought the ASICS Duo BOA last year and they’re my go-to.

We got 2nd in championship flight and I’m so sore and burnt idk if I ever want to play golf again. Another slow and miserably hot day today. Been pissing orange juice all day I’m so dehydrated. Won $1000 each though (entry fee was $600 per team) so not bad

I’ve been spikeless for a little over a year now. I’ve found that any of my traction issues were mainly from poor weight distribution on my back swing, aggressively.
    I’m poor weight distribution.

However, I still have a pair of spikes in the car just incase it’s too sloppy out.

That’s a real fun track. First course I ever played where I was warned about both bears and rattle snakes by the ranger on the first tee.

Wasn’t warned about rattlesnakes, bears and mountain lions though. First thing the starter asked me though was if I smoked. Few of greens had elk tracks on them. I booked the 642 tee time which is actually the “ceremonial” first group every day. So I got to play with three course members. Was a great time, they invited me back. They also told me I was wasting my time with fossil trace and common grounds.
