Have you played with people that do not do that? I like most of the rules. I can see pace of play with the drop rule but don't like it for tour events. I also dislike the flagstick rule and the dropping on the other side of a lateral hazard.
You could leave it in if you want. Gives you the ability to walk up and hit your longer putt without having to go up and remove the flag. (I feel like a lot of people already do that.)
Wish they would've addressed divots in fairways being ground under repair. It's fucking asinine to have to hit a shot from a divot.
Feel like this would help the pros a good bit. When you look down at the fairway landing zones on the 3rd/4th day they are just peppered with divots as their second shots arent typically as dispersed as someone playing on their local track. I actually played Wednesday afternoon and was talking to my friend right when the rules came out about this. Dont feel like it happens to me that much but damn if it didn't happen to me twice on the back 9.
What a crazy hole in one by Justin Thomas....one giant bounce and In the cup. Oh btw...Dustin Johnson is really good
Don't select JT in fantasy he wins a couple tournaments, start him results in MC, and I don't even have him on the bench at least this week. I can see a pattern.
Night golf...Michelle Wie in Singapore vs. Lydia ko. Wie hasn't won in three years holds a 2 shot lead 10:30 pm est on golf channel
Someone tell me how Rory can be #1 if he wins and DJ finishes 5th or lower. The guy doesn't play regularly....
holy shit i've completely forgotten about fantasy golf the past couple weeks. welp anyway, so happy golf is in full swing now. what a great tournament. nice to see rory play so well coming off his injury
Sweetens Cove. Originally had about 12 people going, but ended up being 9 of us. Went birdie birdie right out of the gate. Drove it just off the front of 7, fatted it, then skulled it over, and made a dubski. I did hit the best bunker shot I've hit in recent memory. On 11 (2), I kinda mishit my driver and it ended up in the right trap kinda near the lip about 60 yds away. Opened up a PW and hit a dart to 4 ft. Promptly lipped the birdie. Should've shot at least even. Still pleased overall.
It's a good course. The greens are brutal with all the undulation. There is nothing like it around here.
Happy to see Phil acknowledge who his daddy is. Spoiler Good interview by him though, as always. Looking forward to part 2 next week.
"Phil tell us a great Ryder Cup story no one knows" Proceeds to tell a story about how great he is So good
If you haven't been here are some prices: Hats- $26-30 Golf Shirts- Cheaper model $80, Peter Millar $100 T Shirts- $40 Ribbon Belts- $50 Needlepoint Belts- $175 (my kryptonite) The place isn't cheap, but for the most part they have very high quality products (American Needle hats, peter millar clothing) and you are just paying the suggested retail price from the manufacturer for it. Food is amazing and basically free there.
I have a baseline for what I want to buy but I feel like I may blackout when I enter the merchandise tent I know I am looking at 2 polos, 1-2 hats, and I want a set of tumbler.
