Team usa for Olympics is really kind of depressing. Super douche Boring ass Xander who's not even in great form. Jt, again not in great form. Morikawa
That weird drifter with the ponytail just went ob off the tee with an iron. Was trying to lay up on the par 5.
He is legit the worst putter I've ever seen. His bunker play sucks but that's pretty common. The putting is just unbelievably bad. He's actually striking it well thanks to Tillery. In the latest episode he played the par 5s on the front at +9 from the fairway.
The idea for the series is great, first episode was really good. They need to take a break from showing him play tho and go back to training. I like what gold sidekick does when he coaches some of these random bad golfers through breaking 90 rounds.
I honestly think he just fucks around on the green when putting. He could break 100 easily with a week’s worth of focus on putting, but again I think he is just fucking around to keep the content coming.
"If you were to ask me, like, 'What is the thing that I'm least worried about?" It's putting.' " Trent - Episode 1 - 34:03. That, right there. That's your problem.
I mean I kind of understand this mindset of you are OB off the tee multiple times around and shanking irons. I worried about basic ball striking and now and really working to clean up my putting. 3 putts are frustrating but for shitty golfers there are lots of holes that the putter never even comes out.
Checking back into the putter discussion. I bought an old ping pal blade for $25 when I was 10. Loved it but about 10-12 years ago I just couldn’t get it lined up properly anymore, so I tried a bunch of putters out. I wanted more weight but didn’t like the bigger odessey putters or the big spiders at the time, so I settled on an odessey #9 and now I putt like Phil.
Could have had to shit. Have had that happen to me on the course before. Can affect all aspects of game.
Pre kid, I’d walk heron bay 4 times a week in the summer. Since the kid only 1-3 times every two weeks. I’ve played once in June for the first time in two years but played well.
In the bomb and gouge era, it is so enjoyable to watch normal guys like Louie and morikawa flag everything they look at. Same with Spieth just getting it in the hole. I’m fine with any of those guys winning it tomorrow. Probably rooting for Louie a little more than speith just because I think it says a lot about him to keep coming back over and over again after all the second place finishes. Seems like it would be easy to build up some nasty scar tissue after all that.
Man, Brooks putter let him down on those last 7 holes. A few inches and he could have easily been 10-11 under
Morikawa is just so damn impressive. Love how he is always steady emotionally, not chirping. Iron play is like art.
Rahm’s SG:approach have to be insane today. Seems like he’s had a ten foot birdie putt every hole and missed almost all of then
