Wolff is a douche and his swing is an affront to the game of golf. Hovland is my favorite euro college golfer since Thomas Detry.
First time watching the coverage. I’m sure it has already been discussed ITT but these greens look insane.
Yep. That's three national championships lost because of the switch. Honestly though, the format is awesome.
It’s good tv. But the best team in the country (by a lot) won’t play on the final day of the season. Fuck mike holder
Are you in decent shape? Do you drink/smoke during your round? Are you walking the course? It's important to stay hydrated and have a snack or two during you round because the game is hard enough to play without dealing with self-inflicted fatigue.
This really kills me. Home field advantage is big in all sports, but at the end of the day a football field or tennis court is essentially the same. Golf Courses are completely different and it's the most unfair advantage I can think of in college sports.
It's not like these guys grew up playing these courses 100s of times/year. Shit, some of these courses you cant even play 12 months a year. I think I listened Wolffe talk about that on NLU about OSU and how he goes further south to play. Not to mention all the travel they do.
You don’t have to play the course hundreds of times to get an advantage. These kids play their home course more than enough to have a better understanding of the course than their peers. Add in the amount of knowledge the coaches have of the course and it’s a game changer.
Opposing coaches see the same courses every year too. Definitely an advantage, but disagree it is the most unfair advantage in sports
