It's perfect where I'm at. All that rain right over Tulsa looks to be headed that way unfortunately
The rest of the event got lucky. Cancelled. We were gonna stomp them
They just redid all the bunkers and they’re so much better now. It’s a fun track, but yes, a shit load of bunkers.
2 teams went for 140k, 1 for 130k, and 1 for 90k. Calcutta is only for the championship flight.
*According to a TexAgs thread, which I found on a quick google search. I haven't spoken to any friends in the tourney or been to the club in a few days.*
This seems good
I have a love hate relationship with pga tour live. Featured group is through 2 holes, they are showing 6 guys I have never heard of and aren't in contention.
While I do agree that the groups are sometimes a little odd, I'm confused by the latter part of your statement. Bubba/Piercy/McDowell and JT/Brooksy/Sneds are what I'm seeing now. If you caught the really early window I've seen them show some other groups around the featured groups when they haven't teed off yet.
Yea it's right now. Switched over a few minutes ago. Didn't show those groups first two holes.
Good for 6th place!
Anyone need a g400 fairway? I've got a couple at a good price.
One of my small joys in life is reading the horrible white people names of new member's children. This month we have Zathian, Zander, and Zaiden
Sure am. Details please.
my approval rating of Phil is up like 10 fold since he took to social media and basically stopped giving any fucks a year or 2 back. he's pretty damn funny.
The Euro Tour just dgaf. Golf Sixes went to a playoff, they played the hole once and were still tied, so the second playoff hole is just closest to the pin on a 153 yard par 3 with gusting winds
I love that they know it’s entertainment and play that up.
I'll always root for Tiger because of his skill but also he's basically my age and I've been following his career since I read about him in the last pages of the L.A. Times sports page as a kid. However, it goes without saying that Phil has 10 times the personality that Tiger does. Phil is a fun follow.
Fuck Phil. Now and forever. Fake fucking whiny bitch.
Yeah I remember reading about Tiger in Sports Illustrated for Kids when I was 11 or 12 and he was 16.
Tigers prime would have been incredibly boring without Phil. They didn't square off often head to head for their titles but he's the only other great player who spanned his entire career. Even for Cat fans the game needed Phil along side him.
I respect your opinion even if it's wrong
Tiger had a bunch of Hall of Famers playing well during his prime. Phil never had hot streaks like some of the other guys did either.
JFC Rory just dominated those first two holes.
Someone tried to argue with me that Tiger was the first player to take advantage of clubhead and ball speed that had a decent short game. Yeah, that explains it!
This is ridiculous
Rory just beat the fuck out of the field. Appears to be in way better form than DJ and Brooks.
I've got 1st pick in my pool for this weekend. I'll be taking Brooks until proven otherwise.
People keep telling me that DJ owns pebble beach. He may be the guy.
Went well last time the Open was there for him
Nice. I’ve always liked GMac
Cool moment for a good dude
Perks of living in a smaller town: left my office at 4:30, ran home to get my stuff, walked 18 and was home by 8:30
i'm doing this for our 16 person outing to Kiawah in October. For reference, Charlie and David are ~30 handicaps who I'm sure haven't played this year. there are a two scratch golfers and probably 3-4 other single digit handicaps in our group. And yes our golf trip each year is called Naughty Bois.
Beat the Duffers.
The Naughty Bois founders have decided to add a new feature on Friday afternoon this year. It's called Beat the Duffers. And there is going to be a lot of money on the line for those of you who aren't scared
This is the format:
The last three holes on Friday afternoon will feature Charlie and/or David vs. anyone who dares take them on.
David and Charlie will have their ball placed between 30-40 yards in front of the green. A committee of myself and Dean will decide where to place their ball. Anyone who wants to take them on will have to tee off from the tips on each of the last three holes. 16 is a 177 yard par 3, 17 is a 364 yard par 4, and 18 is 426 yard par 4 with lots of water down the left.
Here is the catch. Anyone who takes on the duffers can only play with 4 clubs and a putter. The rest of their clubs will be confiscated. David and Charlie will have their full allotment of clubs.
You can choose to either play them hole by hole of for the entire 3 hole match.
I'll be booking bets both hole by hole and for the full 3 hole match. I'm going to put $500 each on Charlie and David for each hole as well as $1,000 each for the 9 hole match. That is $5,000 in the pot for anyone who dares to take them on and/or bet against them. If anyone wants to bet on them, I will be able to make the money work.
Will anyone be man enough to take them on?
The whole I don't get respect thing from Koepka is tiring.
His quote about that exact subject, “You've always got to find something to give you a little bit of extra motivation,” he said. Just keep winning my man.
As a 30 handicapper, I would fuck someone up in that format.
At work they gave each person in my dept a random golfer for the US Open this week.
My random assigned golfer is Phil Mickelson
All the single digit guys are lining up to play
That’s easy money vs 30 handicap
He’s not wrong, but his incessant bringing it up is showing serious insecurity.
I mean he was asked about t in his press conference. He didn’t bring it up in an opening statement.
That’s a fair point. But someone around him needs to tell him that the media is going to run with it if he bites on those questions from now on, and he’s much better just not playing into it.
Unless he really wants to play the heel role. And honestly, him deciding to do that might actually be more entertaining.
What’s it like knowing you’ve lost before they even tee it up?
Ask Ty Webb about when we played in Florida
A story about a man and a short par 3 over a small pond. Any man past the age of 12 should’ve been able to clear the small pond with a poorly struck 8 iron. Multiple sleeves of golf balls disappeared. Confidence shattered. I’ve never seen someone as shook on a golf course as the man reenacting Tin Cup from 150 yards. That man? Let’s just say he’s not always Longer From Everywhere.
The 1st shot cleared the pond.
But yes after a few attempts I was very shook
