This course was built later than others so there is some modern ish (think golden age US time period) course design.

But Irish links do have more severe dunes so that is in contrast to flat Scottish links where the pot bunkers are the hazard

He can easily shoot a couple over on this track. Now maybe not if he starts birdie birdie but there’s heavy rough and his putting could fail him.

but yea if I’m at -8 I’m thinking I gotta get to 15 and pray he doesn’t have an average round of golf.

 

Scottie won’t lose from the front. Not a chance in hell

 

He'd need to clip a buried golf ball in the rough and injure himself to lose

 

-17 or better wins this. Which means nobody has a chance unless they have a historic round

It’s Scottie so you also have to add being Arrested

 

The one thing I’d compare Scottie to Tiger on is they have “robbed” us of multiple epic major finishes by being 6 clear of the field and not having an awesome last 90 minutes with like 5 people in contention.

Scottie also now has that Tiger psychological aspect going of if he’s near the top of the leaderboard on the weekend, most guys probably don’t think they have a chance to beat him.
