Eastlake is just a par fest. Matchplay would be lame AF there, just like the Net Championship currently is
I certainly don’t think it’s a great course, but to call it a par fest seems a bit disingenuous. Of all the courses played on Tour, there are several others that deserve to be dropped before it (I could only take the top 5 in this screenshot due to the huge ad right in the middle of the leaderboard)
The last two matches in Austin Rory had 19 birdies in 36 holes and both matches went to 18. Austin really is an awesome course for match play. I honestly don’t mind EastLake at all for the Tour Championship. Two different caliber courses for two different times in the schedule
So the Nike Infinity golf shoes are my very favorite. Like them much better than top end adidas and fjs and have been wanting to get another pair or two. They are one of the only brands we don't carry in the pro shop so I can't get a discount. Found the masters ones and a spikeless pair today at Burlington coat factory for 25 and 20 bucks.
Downside of having only 4 balls in play is it gives NBC even more of an excuse to overload the commercials; this has not been enjoyable to watch
first we don't get Scottie-Rory in the final and then the final is in absolute romp with no drama. ouch.
Looking ahead to the ASU Thunderbird Intercollegiate in Phoenix in a couple weeks Really hoping ASU, TTU and Texas are all paired together. Walking 36 holes with those squads would be a blast, especially with a rosin cart
