it will work better with guys like Rory and Homa and Tiger. Ludvig is a monster but he’s really quiet.
I didn't watch but I've heard from people who liked it more than they expected which means congrats. This is the future of golf
I enjoyed it but not sure it will have staying power. As a novelty I thought it was entertaining. It dragged in the second half but that could have been because the match wasn’t close. But once you’ve seen the novelty, not sure it sticks? But maybe because it’s different players each week it’ll hold interest. But I would say I don’t think it’s appointment TV but it’s also still nice filler as college football ends and we hit the winter slow period.
I feel like the green is the opposite of rudimentary. It’s gotta be the most advanced indoor green in the world. They have a coordinate system set up that tracks the shot on the sim and then calculates exactly where the ball should be placed on the green (or fringe, bunkers, etc.) and then a spotlight that shows where that spot is on the green (or the bunker, apron, fringe, etc.) They did a lot of work to match real world bounce on pitch shots and roll with the surface (and under turf) and it seems like they’ve got it pretty dialed (although not perfect) Then there are a bunch of moving plates underneath it that can change its shape to match the actual hole they are playing on the sim. I think they said they have 30 different undulations/slope combinations. Plus it can rotate 180 degrees in each direction to basically present any number of different green shapes to go along with the different undulations. Here’s a cool video that goes over everything. The green stuff starts at like 7:00 minutes:
i have a nice shaft on my current driver so i wonder if i could just use that one. kind of want to see how much cheaper a Qi10 is now
Taylor Made has good shaft offerings with the Ventus and the Diamana. You can get them both in any weight or flex included in the cost of your driver. Every driver (Ping, Titleist, Callaway) has 2-3 different good shaft options that are included. What Club Champion does is they buy heads and shafts separately and they don't care what shafts are offered for free by each manufacturer and they will fit you into something weird like a Ozik and charge you an extra 3-400 bucks on top for a shaft. There are some guys who might benefit from that, but I think anyone that swings under 125 mph and isn't pursuing a tour card can play with one of the stock offerings.
You should be able to swap easily between TM drivers. If you wanted that shaft in a different manufacture's driver you'd need to get their adapter for the shaft.
Well shit. Capitol One is offering me 24% back if I buy a TM driver. Might have to pull the trigger now lol
not to mention you can just take the specs they give you and go hunting on EBay or elsewhere for ones with a similar profile
Just get the Callaway Paradym X with the lightweight stock shaft and thank me when you don’t miss the fairway
Lost in first round of match play at our club today 2 and 1. Opponent shot a 72 for net 70. I had 4 holes where my wedge just said screw you and that was the difference in the match.
2nd round update. Seriously might be the best golf purchase I’ve ever made. Fits my putter stroke perfectly. Putts are going where I aim every time and my misses are just bc of bad reads now.
Rammer Jammer the No Laying Up (not sure if you’re a golfer) guys we’re talking about your brohammer on todays trap draw podcast. Said he was awesome to meet in the NY subway one time.
I don’t know what the ESPN announcers name is, but he is one of my least favorite guys on the entire network. I have no idea how he has survived all of the layoffs they’ve had.
Matt Berrie is his name I think. I believe he does some CFB stuff. I get this dude confused with the guy who hosts SC on Saturday mornings (see them before CFB) those two are up there with this guy.
