Feel like such an idiot. Got free from work around 3 yesterday when I was in fort Myers. Got on golfnow but really didn’t see anything that sparked my interest. Just went to eat then did some computer work in the hotel room. About 9pm I remembered my reciprocal courses I could play through my club. Looked it up and had 3 nice private courses near me I could have played for $29.

For as much as the Tour is doing to “elevate” their own status with larger pay days, the majors are still what really matters. And if both Opens are going to use the new ball, there’s no reason why the top players will choose to use two different balls for different competitions. Everyone will inevitably fall in line with the new ball, and likely immediately. Also helps that Tiger and Jack are also pushing this narrative.

IMO golf would do well to adopt some different formats. The once a year match play, etc gives us a nice change and a reason to watch some of the lesser events. A Wolf Tournament with the pros would be entertaing as shit imo.
Sure you won't. If the bum fuck nobody cares about it open decides to switch to a wolf tournament format for a year instead of a standard format, I'm sure you won't ever watch again. Maybe I'm about to show my ass but wasn't the waste management open a complete non-factor a decade ago? Just because the crowds turned it into IRL happy gilmore, it's one of the hottest non-major tournaments there is.
