Holy shit Gonna side with Keegan cuz I imagine the Rules Official had it under control. No clue why Jimenez got involved
Picked up a SLDR mini driver today. Don't usually like TM stuff but this thing is a rope, and surprisingly easy to hit off the deck for a 12 degree with a 260 CC head
@JordanSpieth: In my opinion.. If change in format was wanted/needed.. Makes sense to do stroke play first 3 rounds then top 16 into bracket. Agree?
Yeah then he told Keegan's caddie to shut up, not very couth by Miguel. I liked Keegan stepping up and defending his guy but this wasn't a good look for either of them. For anyone who missed it
Keegan's caddie acts like such a choade the entire time. When he said "you're not talking to him, you're talking to him", I instantly thought of this:
What was the basis of their issue? Why were they talking to a rules official in the first place? MAJ just seemed like an old curmudgeon bitching about stupid shit but that's just my feeling.
Keegan was taking a drop because of a temporary immoveable object I believe and yeah Pepsi was a little too involved there.
oh so many options with that shot, closed 6i would probably be my club though really depends on how far from the green I was
It was a duck hook drive on a par 5. I hit a 4 iron to get it to the fairway and advance it a good ways. Bogeyed the hole iirc.
I have been struggling with my ball striking and decided to really focus on my wrist hinge. Went out and shot a 40 on nine which is solid for me as I am used to shooting in the low 90's. Crazy what the wrist hinge thought did for me especially on my short irons
Paid $45 in mint condition. Played yesterday and hit 9/10 fairways when I use it. I'm giving up probably 15 yards from the driver but it's so easy to control
Played in my club's Member-Member/Guest tournament this weekend and got thrashed in three of the five matches. It was five 2-man best ball 9-hole matches against the other teams in the flight. You got points for winning or tying holes and a point for winning each match. My partner really struggled, and I played decent on Saturday, just not good enough to carry us all day. Shot a 76 yesterday and won our last match 7-3. And our flight got sandbagged like a mother fucker. A 12-handicap player shot a collective +14 on his own ball over 45 holes, and his team racked up 35.5 points in our flight. They had so many points after the fourth match that they could've sat out the last match and still won our flight.
Also had an "aha moment" this weekend. I noticed it with my putter first on the practice green that if I squeezed my elbows together a little more I would get a better shoulder turn and was getting a more consistent roll on my putts. So, I decided to try it with my full swing late in the afternoon when I was struggling. Don't exactly know what it did, but I only missed 4 fairways in my last 27 holes and really struck the ball cleanly in my last two matches. I played the last 27 holes with one golf ball, which I don't think I've done in a long time. I've been fighting a bit of a flip lately, and this thought seemed to clear that up almost instantly.
A Friend gave me these shafts, if anyone wants one make an offer. They are currently tipped with r11 adapters. I'm most likely keeping the Oban.
I'm the guy that always wants new things so I would always try new shafts etc but I still haven't found a better one for my swing than the one I've had for years
Bought a new shaft last night or I'd be interested in the RUL 60. Try this site if you have no luck here. http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/forum/32-classifieds-for-sale-forum/ They will pay fair prices for shafts.
Not very knowledgeable on shafts. My swing speed is about 103mph and I'm either going to buy the new titleist 915 or the cobra amp cell. Any recommendations?
I'd go get fitted. I like shafts with a low/mid launch and low spin. Swing speed seems like you need a stiff shaft, then it all depends on preference really in terms of weight and length.
Good read about how some players view the $$$ aspect of the PGA Tour. http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/12806548/pull-pga-tour-money-remains-moving-target-pro-golfers
Got a free 100 dollar entry into a fantasy golf event starting tomorrow on draft kings. What do you fellow fantasy golf players think of the best bets in the field this weekend? Who do you have on your bench Jigga ? I figure I am guaranteed to cash if I start the guys you have sitting for tomorrow . This is what I have so far but I still have time to edit. Can only spend 50k total and with this lineup I have 100 leftover. I went for a mix of currently hot players, guys who make most every cut, and those with a good history on this course. It was either Rory or Spieth as my top line player, both have been really hot lately. Spieth cost 700 less and Rory just played a shit ton of golf last week on the west coast to win the match play, so I guess that is my justification. After doing fairly shitty to begin with on this course Rory has been top 10 the past 2 years. A Sunday duel between those two would be pretty cool. Spieth - 12,800 Sergio - 9,800 Poulter - 7,200 Ryan Moore - 6,700 Morgan Hoffman - 6,900 Daniel Summerhays - 6,500
Kid got his first real set of Jr. clubs last night and made me go out before breakfast this morning so he could hit them.
I wish I could have started young..I'm gonna get my nephew to be a badass golfer and go caddy for him. No shame in my game.
Doubt the Duf put up a fight on that one. With as much travel as pro golfers do, the last thing he'd want is a dog to himself.
