Agree on Spieth's swing. Something is very fucked with that sawed off approach wedge chop he does as well. He either overcooks them or over spins them more times than not. I kind of wonder if he lost some touch on them after getting stronger as he got older.
Very underrated. I feel like people cut him similar slack like they did with Tiger. Acting like a douche was excused as "just super competitive" when he was winning. The reality is, he acts like a douche on the course a lot.
Jordan is my favorite as well, but he needs to grow out of his petulance. The longer it goes on, the less likeable he is.
I mean I think one leads to the other. He's clearly fighting his swing which is super frustrating. Guy puts a ton of pressure on himself and he's just in his own head. That's all a bad combo when you're naturally really extroverted on the course.
Spieth will go on to win at least 5 majors and will have a hall of fame career. There's your hot take you bitches.
Been getting steady fantasy points riding the Rahm train for a few weeks now. Just check the leaderboard and see he fired an 82 today
I have never had a better round and a worse round of golf then I did yesterday. Took the new driver out and I have never hit more fairways in my life. Which is why I also had the worse round. I'm not really used to hitting from the fairway. Besides the driver change, all I did was rotate my left hand on my grip about five degrees counter clockwise.
~8 years The Tour is great, and almost every single person is a good person, which is what makes it fun to watch - you can cheer for tons of people.
i have clients and friends that are out there, so traveling out there while therye together kills multiple birds with one stone. because of that (and i didnt ask for it), i get a badge to every tournament with dining, media, clubhouse, etc. access. im not a white belt wearing fanboy like tlank- just random that work involves these guys. i should give glover a break. apparently (per news stories) he has changed his life and i havent seen him in years. fwiw, i really do like ian poulter. hes a very nice guy.
Poulter is a douche, but there's something about him that's growing on me. Maybe it's that we won the last Ryder Cup. And Kim's swing is so so smooth.
Love Kim's swing. I really enjoyed watching guys have to manufacture shots this week and think their way around a golf course. It's why a dunce like DJ never does well here. 330 yard drives and flip wedges are getting boring (to me). I'd love to see more courses set up like this week and watch ball strikers thrive.
