What's absurd is you thinking he would pay "the next guy" any differently. Hell this guy helped him win the tournament and he paid him $5K. You can say you don't agree but you would be wrong. The caddy may not have been a caddy for a guy on tour but he was absolutely a professional caddy. Thats literally what he does as his profession....at that exact golf course/resort. There's little doubt that he knows those greens better that Kuchar's regular caddy. As a matter of fact, Kuchar even gave an interview right after that tournament and mentioned how his caddy helped him with local knowledge and he called him his "lucky charm" whatever the hell that means.
Of course he wouldn’t pay him any differently, that’s the point. The discussion was about Tucans leverage.
I don't think kuch did the right thing in the amount he paid the guy. If he would have just given the guy 20k right after, none of this would have come out. I'm just stating my opinion from being around pro caddies. I'm glad it's coming out that kuch is going to pay him more now.
I assume you either let your member take care of your caddy or you simply pay the minimum caddy fee. Hell, all they do is "walk off some yardage"
I know the course so I dont need them to walk off anything. Is $200 a bad tip, since the member is "paying for it"?
My parents were members of the same club as him back in the day. Saw him treat the staff like shit. I went the club maybe five times in my life. Say 3 of the 5 times I went, I saw him act like an ass.
so just catching up on the thread and the whole kuchar thing. I pretty much agree with everything that has been said on both sides. But the agreement that was originally made, Kuchar took advantage of the situation because he could. If when he won he says to to the caddie, thanks I'm gonna give you the 10-15k instead of the five we agreed upon because of the victory its a non-story.
CBS getting punked again by weather. Should’ve just had anyone done yesterday at E just tee off hours ago. I know that would never happen, but damn
I get that it looks weird, but every study I’ve seen so far has shown it’s very beneficial to keep the flagstick in from every distance.
Everything I have seen says this too. That said, I saw a scenario last weekend at a local course where the flag stick had a slight lean to it and it kicked a good putt out that should have been down. Real world flagstick problems I guess.
Flagstick in cost me a hole in one after I cleared the clowns mouth at my local putt putt this weekend...these pros are idiots
