Mickelson coaching and playing well, Curry not playing like a +handicap, and Chuck putting well and hitting fairway with iron from the up tees has been the difference.
He’s not playing great today but he’s played enough public golf to justify the handicap I think. But you can’t play you’re worst in something like this to make it competitive.
These takes are always enjoyable. No 5 cap out there could ever have a round under par in a pro event
Dude shot 71 on the Korn Ferry. Curry just having a bad day and seems like he’s uncomfortable with desert golf too. and I hate the Warriors.
About $570k laying around in a case somewhere collecting dust. Financials must be in worse shape than his biceps.
Well when you have millions like the I'm guessing the winner of that bid does, then who gives a shit about $80k? I mean you may never get the chance to own a legit major trophy ever again.
Didn't watch the match. Did Phil ever make a cup of coffee? Or did I waste several days of my life installing that damm thing?
Yes. I work in engineering at the parent company of E-Z-GO. We have a group that usually does custom cars for high profile customers (lots of golfers and NASCAR drivers) but for some reason this got tasked to my team while I was on vacation back in October. So last Monday and Tuesday was spent getting it all squared away so it could ship out. I assumed he was owner of the coffee maker company or something but we removed the logo from it before we installed.
What’s the coldest weather you will play in? Going to be a high of 50 tomorrow and I have the day off work so I’m thinking about roughing it.
That's really cool. If there's any pictures of your custom work that you can share, I'm sure guys itt would appreciate it.
Played last two weekends in the 40s. First one in fog so dense you could only see 75yds in front of you. It was wild. And fun. Shockingly I did not lose a ball.
SoCal here. I've played countless "winter" sunrise tee time rounds that are in the 40's to start but it warms up quickly. I hate those first few holes. I don't think I would bother if the temp wasn't gonna come up to at least the mid 60's.
Tee time booked. Thanks for all of the advice and words of encouragement ITT. 42deg at tee off. They’ll probably do a 30 for 30 on me if I make it 18 holes
How'd this go? High of 40 today but I'm thinking of giving it a shot. 9-10 mph winds. Wind has me a bit concerned.
Speaking of winter golf, the Under Armour infrared cold weather golf pants and base layer are some of the best golf related purchases I’ve made in the past few years. I did not get out much prior when the highs were sub 50 but they have allowed me to be extremely comfortable playing down to 35 degree weather (depending on wind). Actually looking forward to winter golf this season and having the course to myself.
They’re my pant of choice for any early/late season golf and any links golf trips. Very warm, very comfortable, and great in everything but a heavy rain. Kind of like snow pants and golf pants put together from a tech perspective, but look like normal golf pants.
Times booked, now official. Wendel Clark will operate as the official betting platform for The Match 3
These would be the Nike equivalent. Water resistant, light, warm lining. Highly recommended. https://www.nike.com/t/flex-repel-mens-slim-fit-golf-pants-P8SG41/CK6053-010
while you and I know Homa and Higgs and think that would be hilarious and awesome, I think you need big name golfers to sell it to TV.
It would be great if they just had random shit like that on Golf Channel on a Wednesday night instead of whatever it is they air otherwise. Every one of these wouldn't need to be a massive event. Hell, just hire Shane Bacon and three or four cameramen and send him around Scottsdale, Jup, etc and have him do games that the pros play together at their home courses. The sponsor activations would probably cover the expenses.
It was great. Played like shit, but not because of the weather. Ended up getting up to the mid to upper 40s. Went to target morning of and purchased wool socks and thermal dry fit long johns. The long johns kept the boys warm, so it actually allowed me to switch from the medium jacket to the light jacket after the third hole. More range of motion. Couldn’t find my flask so I loaded my whiskey up in my daughter’s lockable sippy cup prior to hitting the course. Felt that this was a veteran move that stood out as the play of the day. Had a cooler pocket in the golf bag, but can’t say I really needed it. Drinks stayed cold all day with no ice. Playing again Saturday. Will probably be similar conditions
