Streamsong is delightful. If you could customize your round, I’d combine Blue’s back nine with Red’s front nine. Black is fun too, but with any kind of heat, all that white sand turns it into an oven.
Figured they could have waited until tomorrow morning but they are also probably way behind on the redo waiting on the tournament from when it normally would have been
i still think him and luke donald should just form a tag team where sergio does everything 50 yards plus from the pin and luke donald takes over from that point on
Not a Sergio fan but this putt made some others look stupid too. Pretty sure it fooled Tiger as well.
Yeah, the tweet isn't really accurate. I think that putt was right on the edge of a fall line, and Serg expected it to take that fall. But it is funny nonetheless to see a tour pro hit a putt that looks that bad!
Tested a bunch of drivers over the weekend. I've had my Ping G25 for several years. I used to love it, but right now, I don't feel like I can control it at all. I hit probably 7 different drivers (Titleist TS2 and TS4, Callaway Mavrik and Epic Flash SubZero, Ping G410 Plus, Taylormade M6 and Sim Max) plus my G25 for comparison. Sim Max was the only driver I consistently had good ball flight, dispersion, and spin numbers. So, I bought it today, but I'm having some serious buyer's remorse. Not sure it's worth the price tag for the extra 12-15 yards of distance.
Yeah, but I don't know if that's me or the club. I found out through the testing that the Sim Max works best for me with a slightly closed face, but I've never played my current driver that way, although it's an option. So, now I'm wondering if I'll see similar results if I adjust my driver that way.
Oh you don't want to know the answer to that question. 95% of amateurs don't want to know that. Head in the sand buy the new shiny thing.
Do you guys have a top 5 for the 3M? A long shot could take it with a lot of the big boys sitting out IMO
Based on recommendations here, I ordered the Precision Pro NX7 Pro Slope. I haven’t got it yet. They're $50 off as they brought back a more advanced model it looks like.
Feel the same way as you about it all and the NLU guys touched on it as well in today's pod, Jack on the broadcast is an instant mute for me
Their website says they’re on back order and won’t ship until 7/24. May drive over to the pga superstore this weekend and see what they have in stock
I got a TecTecTec off Amazon like five years ago, and it’s still working fine. It’s like $180 if you want the slope version or $150 without slope, so when I bought it it was like half the cost of competitors. Not sure what’s out there currently, but it’s a very solid option for the price.
There’s also an NLU promo code on those for another $20 I believe. They’re solid, friend has one and it’s reliable
Definitely want to get one that factors in the slope. Not that it makes a gigantic difference, but I really like having a number in my head during the shot
Darn, could have sworn in one of their ad reads they said it worked with the current sale. Still a good value at that price
I have this one and love it. Lost one and bought it again. If you can wait for Prime Days, you'll save about $50.00.
Had a 6:52 tee time this morning, was planning on walking but it was raining when I started. Stopped raining by hole two. shot a 76 with one birdie. The birdie was a six iron 173 slightly up hill stuck to about 1.5 feet. So dumb luck.
I played blackstone/sandstone at stone creek, it’s my course most played by far. I mean if you could get lessons with one of the Cornell’s jump at it. I drive out to Ashland because i get lessons from a buddy from HS. Andrew storm at shadow I’ve heard is good but expensive. Mike Fauver at miracle hills is who Josh sees I think. Ted DiGiacomo I’ve heard good things and I still have his number. I’d avoid Shane at golf galaxy.
Anyone know any good tracks in the Aspen/Vail area? I’m playing Aspen Glen with my Clubcorp membership, but open to try out another course while in the area.
I'd only pay that much for any course due to its prestige. TPC Sawgrass is usually a very long round because the course is overrun by tourists. I play Sawgrass a couple times a year with members or Players volunteers who get guest passes. Playing it next week.
