Nantz voice “what do you not have any advertisers on your podcast?” Good for Balionis that she’s so loyal to the brand, even though that brand abruptly ditched two of its longest tenured commentators without as much as a meeting (Kostis said he got a voicemail if I remember right)
CBS leaned way too hard on tape delayed shots it felt like more than ever before....in a time when the public was craving for *live* sports.
I don't really disagree with any of the CBS hate but Soly just banging on about the same shit EVERY.SINGLE.POD. gets old. We all watch, we get it.
Can’t believe they can’t even spoiler alert us when they go to tape delay that’s out of order and you see balls on the green that haven’t even been hit yet. Scumbags.
That was totally the producer and director needing a moment to regroup so they'd throw it there when they didn't know who to show.
Lol according to Shane Bacon Bryson's 10 a couple weeks back may have cost him $1 million from the AON Risk Reward challenge
Wow, looks like Slugger was on to something when he talked about penalizing players for slow play costing their kids a chance to go to college
Bacon pose a pretty good question. If you are the caddy and you get 10% of that, and you know you are in the running, do you treat that hole different and put the thumb on the scale? Look Bryson I think the play here is to punch out with a 6.
I think he will replace his current guy with someone bigger and better at blocking the camera. The big golfer needs a thick caddy.
I'm too impatient so instead of waiting on those from the Nike site I just went down to Golf Galaxy and bought the Adidas Codechaos shoe, that Boost midsole
I am team adidas when it comes to shoes. Took the nikes back and bought some adidas with the boost. Have 4 pairs of various styles. Love them. I plan on buying the special edition white and blue primeknit codechaos when I find them on sale.
It’s criminal that the USGA isn’t at least live streaming the Am from Bandon right now as the second round of stroke play comes down the stretch. There’s some good names right on or one shot out of the projected cut and lots of guys still on the course. Also, just realized that even though the first hour of coverage the next few days is on Peacock streaming, it’s free. Then Golf Channel for two hours. Disappointing we lost out on Fox coverage when we did, wish they could’ve at least gone through this week
Depending on these last few guys on the course, we could be looking at around a 20 for 1 playoff. They’ve thrown that on their YouTube channel in the past
Remember, you're paying him. Don't change anything you are uncomfortable with. But do keep taking lessons until your handicap starts to drop. Make him work hard for you! #coachdreams
Took lessons a lot when I was a kid and made the mistake of just taking what I liked from the lesson and didn’t practice the things I was told to practice. If you like the person teaching you, just commit and do what they say or you’re just wasting your time/money
I'm actually pretty open to anything this guy has to say. He has a great reputation around here. He's an assistant coach at the college Mark Immelman is the head coach of. I'm really just trying to get from that 82-86 range to consistently shooting in the 70s.
That’s a great place to start from. Just takes time on the range turning what you learn into muscle memory
Luckily, I really enjoy going to the range in the evenings. Went this evening actually, and it prompted me to contact him about lessons. I'm just not happy with the consistency of my ball striking right now.
In what way? Sounds like you must be pretty consistent to be in the low 80s constantly. I would have guessed short game or putting would be your issue.
Good. They’re probably going to make some changes to your swing that you will HATE at first. I had a big swing change once and could barely hit the ball off the ground for a couple of days, but once I got used to it, I was better than I had ever been. Just takes time and reps
My short game has actually been bailing me out recently. I'm really good with my wedges, and I've been putting well. I've been struggling some off the tee, and my iron play has been just ok. I feel like I could pretty easily get down into the 70s with some tweaks.
How much are you paying this guy? I’ll take that as a payment for the advice I gave you before you drove one 300 yards.
