For some odd reason Furyk had Morikawa tee off on all the par 5s and Sahith tee off on all the par 3's
All the analytics they have at their disposal and the fact they rolled this out there is truly malpractice by the captain.
Im ballin but Cantlay making everything. Weir only playing 8 guys all day today is certainly a choice.
In general golf needs to realize that TV windows matter. Formula 1 and soccer owe a lot of their gain in popularity because they are on at times in the morning when there was no other live sports on. When NFL and college football are playing they should take the early shift and today if they targeted finishing at about 2pm Eastern you might get people to hang around during the first quarter of NFL games. It's not like people go to church anymore is getting in the way.
I’m bad at golf but a little better since I joined a club. Notably advocate for 12 holes because I can’t be “good” for 18. shot 80 today. I reallllllly thought I was gonna break 80 for the first time. undrtow was getting a picture of my lie and giving advice on every shot the last 4 in. I had hives.
Just finished walking 18, shot a 90 on a par 72. Perfect bogey golf, 45 on each side. No birdies, but 4 pars, 4 double bogeys, other 10 holes were all bogeys. Zero triples is really good for me. Didn't lose one ball. Ball striking was a lot better. Def left some putts short, but got pretty lucky with some approaches, too. If I can stay consistently in the low 90s, and shoot in the 80s every now and then, I'll be perfectly happy.
Golf trip with the boys next weekend in Chelan, North Central WA. Playing two rounds at Gamble Sands: https://www.gamblesands.com/ And two at Desert Canyon: http://www.desertcanyonresort.com/ Desert Canyon Friday @ noon, two rounds at Gamble on Saturday, Desert Canyon again on Sunday morning let's goooo
Ended up playing in that bitch Helene on Friday/Saturday. We were joking that we didn't realize we had travelled to scotland or Ireland for the weekend trip with the weather. It was low 60's, spitting rain and wind blowing 20-30 mph the whole time. Was an experience for sure. Shot 75 and 76 the two days. Second day was a frustrating 76, if that's possible. Never felt comfortable with my driver in hand, but probably had my best iron round of my life. Ended up with 10 birdie putts under 30 feet and only made 2. Had 4 lip out and 2 stop right in the heart of the cup but 2-4" short.
I've taken a couple years off of playing regularly with my kids being super young. I've started playing weekly again and was thinking about getting a new driver. 600 bucks for the ping and club champion wants 175 for a fitting. WTF.
Don't know if any of the pods do promotions for them anymore, but I think they had one recently on Shotgun Start that I thought they said was good for the whole year.
