I wouldn't necessarily call them "unique" but I enjoy ones that make me chuckle to myself. Currently rocking a number from Cayce Golf- Jazz cup, transfusion (mallet putter), and just ordered the black and white skull and crossbones for my driver. Probably shouldn't have spent so much on them but figured what the hell. Spoiler My spending during this pandemic has been atrocious Currently trying to keep myself in check.
While I don't hate Bryson, Brooks is my guy. Think he is starting to get locked in. He's got Elliot back on the bag this week.. Things are picking up.
He was -6 his last 9 holes with some random dude on his bag. He's always said Elliot tells him what to do and he does it. I think not having his caddy effects him more than most.
I admittedly didn't watch his final 9 because it already looked like he'd miss the cut by playing like shit (didn't even know he went on that run), but hopefully Ricky can tell him not to miss the fairway by 40 yards with his driver.
Lol, they already created the merch and aren't about to dump it all off along with Bills Super Bowl gear and start over
I have no idea who Zac Radford is but apparently he has some presence on YouTube or instagram and travels around filming himself playing different courses. He did one at the Ledges in Huntsville. His commentary is awful but the video is pretty cool if you are familiar with the course, particularly the back nine.
Went to the range and took a few swings with it. When I hit well it’s suuuuuuuper low spin. Felt like I was hitting knuckle balls but it was long
And “as of right now,” Johnson said, he doesn’t feel compelled to try and hit it farther during a tournament. After all, he’s fresh off a win at the Travelers Championship, the 21st of his Tour career. “I feel like my game, with where it’s at, and how far I hit it is far enough, and until I feel like I need to hit it farther to compete or beat these guys, then that’s what I’ll do,” he said. “But for right now, I feel like, if I’m playing my game, (DeChambeau) can hit it as far as he wants to, and I don’t think he’s going to beat me.”
TaylorMade is doing a fitting event at my club next week and I’m tempted to sign up to try out the Sim line, mostly so that I can get on a Trackman
I'm not sure pairing them would be a good promotion for their core consumer, nor do I think it matters one bit.
Likewise. As much fun as it would be to imagine some fireworks, smart $ says it would just be anti-climactic. Now if you promised me they would both be mic'd up and live........
Random question for you guys. Unless I'm missing something, two weeks from now there will be two full PGA tournaments in the same weekend - the WGC St. Jude Invitational ($10.5m purse) and the Barracuda Championship ($3.5m). Would you expect the first tournament to essentially have the top 125 players and the second tournament being players below 125 or 150 in the rankings? If someone was ranked, say 75-125, I'd almost think there'd be some benefit to playing in the Barracuda where you'd probably be a top 10 favorite to win vs. less than 50-50 to make the cut at St. Jude. Given all the benefits of winning and qualifying for future tournaments (plus the $600k Barracuda winner will earn more than everyone but the top 2 at St. Jude), I think it could be interesting to see how the field divides with a full win on the line for some guys who'd almost never have a shot to win a loaded field at St. Jude. Interested to hear any thoughts from people at know this stuff better.
They always have opposite field events for WGC events. Think it’s too 75 only, and it’s no cut. the 75th best golfer in the world isn’t Backing out of that tournament due to fear of competition.
Makes sense. Didn't know WGC was limited to 75 and they often do other events around it. I thought if it was a full ~140-150 person field, it would be a good chance for an actual win for someone typically in the 100s-200s.
