I have a Skytrak and the OG Mevo. Skytrak is obviously great for indoor whatever, but I actually had both the MLM and Mevo side by side in the beginning. Returned the MLM - Data is a wash - Dispersion tracking on MLM was really meh. It’s surprisingly difficult to get it set up correctly. You’re basically orienting the range using google earth and dropping a pin where you’re standing. Ends up being ass. Big feature bust for me - Forced camera angle from DTL but from your feet. Nearly worthless for self-diagnosis but automatic tracers!! - Mevo is solid through and through. Auto captures swings. Put camera wherever you want for good DTL and Face on. And I’m sure they’re dirt cheap these days Just my two cents for bargain LMs. Still bust out the Mevo regularly outside. And love setting it up on the course occasionally on holes I know we’re all going to swing out of our shoes to pass videos and data along to my playing partners
To be fair Fish, just playing more beats any and all investments I’ve ever made tech wise. It is fun though
Game experience and real practice still undefeated. But the gadgets can help dial it in quicker. I'm a practice junky so the tech sounds so appealing.
Zac is the king of stingers. Looks like he played decent in the GG championship. Just shows there is a difference between scratch/+2 cap to an actual pro who hovers around a +5 to +6.
mal630 is he still out at NGCC? My buddy used to belong out there so I met him a few times, but it’s been 5 years or more.
Played at a country club yesterday and there were sunflower shells on every other green. I want to find that person so bad and beat them.
What a fucking drive from this dude on 18 of the NCAAs. 344 carry into a tiny landing zone tied for the lead? Serious game.
Has to be fake. How in the hell could he possibly think he could get away with that. He's got one of the more distinctive swings that's been on tour the last decade.
He did. Long before Good Good got going. Not that Zac would have been in Good Good or anything, but they made some content together and Zac couldn't deal with how immature some of the guys were. Granted they were all kids and Zac was 30. Zac really cares about what golf courses think about him after he leaves, he tries to play really fast and not hold everything up while filming and generally not be a dick.
Correct- they signed him up as John Bradley and the staff found a GHIN for someone and it was an 8 hcp. This situation happens all the time. The amount of times guys sign up for a tournament and spell their opponents name wrong and I have to try different spellings, look at fucking linked in and search the 4 surrounding states till I come up with a handicap is astonishing.
He had to not have his usual bag and such as well so they were trying to hide him. Such a scummy thing to do. Wouldn’t expect any less from him
well he didn’t sign up in his full name allegedly, which then lead to the error. So wouldn’t say there were the cleanest intentions
well he was signed up as John Bradley, not John Bradley Holmes. So there was some intentionality there.
...and he/his team would've seen that their team hcp was way off since it was apparently a handicapped event
has anyone ever done the full experience for the masters? I'm talking like, pay whatever it costs to get badges because you don't have a connect etc. When do you start that process? My dad turn's 60 next year and I want to take him to the masters next year to celebrate it. I don't want to wait to long to start the process and get left in the cold. Any advice, tips, whatever would be appreciated.
had a father-son sit in front of us two years ago where they provided all 4 day badges plus lodging. Will try tonight to find the company that they used but seemed like they enjoyed their experience. But not sure you can do Berkmans passes that route. There should be a ton of hospitality companies offering packages like this. plenty of ppl use Stubhub from what I can tell...and if you just want to go specific days, I would hop on booking hotels asap unless you just want to stay in Atlanta and commute each day.
I'm doing that for sure. I just don't want to start too late if getting badges from a 3rd party is easier pre-lotto or whatever
how do those work when there’s not supposed to be resale of the tickets? Or is that done away with now?
You will for sure be able to find something befitting of the occasion. i have never done it but will take a look around. Dont think you are looking too late if you want 2024. I want to do this for the next St Andrews open. Definitely not done away with. And the 2x a day scans has made the market much more manageable for them to monitor i'd imagine. The professional ticket brokers know what they are doing, how to not piss off angc, etc. And I would imagine angc knows to what degree its ongoing, and most of what they have/are building out is catering to corporate hospitality so they are welcoming it on some level. Who knows where they draw a line and revoke badge privileges but obviously some level of profiteering is a no no.
Left work early to go play 18. Back got tight on the back 9 and I was flaring everything out to the right and I just drove to the car after 16. One of the worst rounds I’ve played in years. Good thing I’ve got a golf trip coming up in 10 days!
