MyGolfSpy did tests about Pin In vs. Pin Out. Probably wont help my putting but will give it a shot. https://mygolfspy.com/flagstick-in-flagstick-out-2019-new-golf-rules/
I used to play a lot of golf at Glenwild Golf Club in Park City. Amazing difference at 7,000 feet in elevation. Still one of my favorite courses. Also playing Shingle Creek in Orlando. Anyone played it?
I haven't played it since it was recently redone. Its always typically in great shape. New carts with good GPS. Long from the tips. Big fairways, big greens. Lots of undulation.
A couple things I've seen this week that make the knee drop rule bad to implement: -On the Euro Tour, someone was dropping and he bent down to get the right height and the rules official told him he had to straighten his leg. Nowhere has this been clarified, so not really fair when you can have officials interpreting the rule differently -Vegas' drop just now off the green looked a little cavalier...his arm was relaxed at his side but because of the pants, can't tell if it was actually knee height I imagine it won't take long for some clarifications to come out, unless they sit on their hands until the first real controversy ensues
Some people in this thread talk a big game but I guarantee you get them on the course they fold like a lawn chair .
Not just distance, but do you guys notice less spin/movement at elevation? That seems to be the case with pitching - breaking balls don't break. I would imagine that golf balls would flu straighter too.
Ok...several things for Jigga Goddamit.... I have to fucking unsubscribe now Your wife know you're using her phone to keep this charade going? Pathetic
The no break could be the mountains. That is tough to get used to. Valley effect in Scottsdale is the same way. Never forget the first time I watched a putt break uphill.
In terms of capable employees in their social media dept.? Sure. They can have that. We'll just continue taking their best players. Nice little feeder league for us.
So big news. Today I sent out to hit the stores to test out all of my contending putters. I found that I did not like the ping sigma tyne, the taylormade ardmore, the scotty cameron 5w, and the odyssey exo #7. Was kind of surprised that I didn't like any of them...I did try the scotty cameron futura 6m though and loved it. My misses with the 6m were all in grouping. wanted to think about it so I headed to the next store. By a great stroke of luck they had a few evnroll putters. Loved the feel, grip they come with, and performance of the putter. Sadly they only had the ER2 and ER8 so I still had to order the ER5 without rolling it but definitely feel much better about buying it now.
Sure, it's no debate that the PGA Tour is the top tour in the world. The refreshing thing about the ET is they recognize that as well and aren't afraid to try something different. In addition, lots of European players seem to have way more personality or don't mind putting it out there compared to many American counterparts
Shack tagged Harry from Callaway so yeah I think it’s more they weren’t going to sponsor and make it viable without getting more control.
it probably did bad numbers compared to the other Ringer stuff so seems they wanna inject as many Ringer co-hosts on as they can
Euro tour may be good at Instagram but boy do they suck at golf down the stretch to finish in Abu Dhabi
It's true what they say... never meet your heroes. I always thought he was a great player but now that's tainted. Damn shame.
The tournament itself *supposedly* will move some amateur handicaps around to ensure the most TV-centric ones get air time on Sunday. Not sure if totally true, but that’s the rumor.
I don't know much about the business of podcasting, but how expensive can it be to have the golf podcast for the ringer when you already have like 30 other podcasts? Wouldn't it be beneficial to keep it and keep people coming back to your site?
So what’s up with the tournament today. The leaders all tee off soon and nobody is carrying it live till 3pm eastern?
Does anyone have any experience taking their clubs on an Amtrak train? Heading down to kiawah in March and planning to take the train down, but their website isn’t exactly clear and I didn’t really get a straight answer when I called them
