Just saw all that on Twitter and flipped over to see them talking about it. What an absolute joke. Whoever the sorry fuck is that emailed that in should really reassess things
Like what kind of life do you lead where you're emailing in Sunday about an infraction occurring Saturday in a women's golf tournament?
A lot of people talking about the LPGA right as the World Series champs are about to start their season. Genius iyam.
I think it's ridiculous that they even take those calls/emails and use them for rulings. Could you imagine if one of the big 3 sports allowed that?
Best believe that traveling would have been called in the elite 8. That email would be marked urgent.
Dear Domers, Rudy game was not against us. We don't care about Rudy. Please use Rocket Ismail if you want to ice burn us. Thanks, Michigan Wolverines.
Question for you guys. I haven't played golf in about four years. So this year I thought I'd go about and buy a new set and get back into it. My irons were outdated four years ago and were hand me downs to begin with. any suggestions? Would it be better to find a decent used set, get a nice new one later? Just buy some cheap starter brand. Just go all out and get a nice new set? Was kind of leaning towards cheap used set so I could get some new woods or wedges and definitely a new bag.
May have some ping g5s for sale in the next week. Regripped last year, stiff flex, right hand standard loft, lie. 3-pw
Id get a lesson before you buy clubs. Make sure you are on plane and that you have a repeatable swing that you can use in a club fitting. 4 years is a long time. Id get fit and then buy used clubs off eBay and get them worked to your specs.
if you break rules you should be penalized of course Tiger came rushing to Thompson's defense given his history of trying to pull fast ones
hey when golfers aren't honest enough to call the penalty on themselves....if it takes someone calling or emailing from home, then so be it
Did you watch what he was penalized for? Why would she move the ball from inside 2 feet? How do you report yourself if you didn't even know you did something wrong? Looked like an honest mistake and everyone watching thought the same.
I regretted all my posts feeling bad for her when she left a 15 footer for the win short. Then she left a must make 20 footer short in the playoff.
As stupid as the penalty for the "infraction" is, assessing penalties for incorrect scorecards a day later because of it is worse. If the group she was in didn't see or think it was an infraction and the tour just ignores it by assessing a penalty anyway, what is the point of needing to sign correct cards? It's pro golf. It's not like no one knows what their scores are until the end when they show us. We all know what they're shooting on every hole.
I've checked with the rest of the fanbase, and determined that we do not say that. 72% have no opinion. 64% think it was a shit movie. 81% still get choked up when all the players line up to throw their jerseys on Devine's desk and say, "for Rudy, Coach".
This is a great way to kill some time http://www.golfdigest.com/story/the-complete-changes-to-augusta-national
i shot a 90 on sunday with 43 putts definitely booking a putting lesson but what are some others ways to improve putting? is Unconscious Putting by Dave Stockton worth reading?
Said already, but it's fucking stupid that people can call in and report violations. Being on TV more often actually becomes a detriment. Those little accidental mistakes happen all the time and are rarely caught.
- Lexi definitely broke the rules. Not really even close imo - Allowing fans to call in penalties is really stupid. Puts the better players at a disadvantage because they're on TV more - Calling it a full day after the fact is complete bullshit. What happens if it happened on Sunday and she already "won"? Do they take the trophy away? Seems like at some point they need to call the previous round official and that's that. The start of the next round is probably a good time for that. - Was not happy to see her lose. She had a gutsy last few holes there and almost pulled it out
Wouldn't it make sense that if players sign their cards, that a rules official signs it next and then it's official?
Spend as much time practicing putting as you do swinging clubs and you will improve very quickly. If you aren't the practicing type, you aren't trying to get better.
a couple of things that have helped me: shortened backswing, longer followthrough Never miss a putt on the low side
Hey all, haven't played in years and I'm getting the itch. I was really terrible and imagine I'll be really terrible still. Can I get recommendations on a decent set of clubs that's affordable, considering they'll either be lightly used or replaced with something better within a couple of years
I'd look at a very forgiving set and possibly last year's models to save on money. Check eBay for something like Adams or Cobra Max and then spend the rest on lessons
eBay GlobalGolf 2ndSwing 3Balls CallawayPreowned TaylormadePreowned All great sites to find used/cheap clubs. Like chant said find a reasonable set and spend the money on lessons. Once you get to a certain point you can then replace them after getting fitted.
