Dismal seems to be in a really remote place just to walk off the course mid round lol. Tom must have been fucking pissed...
Doesn't get much more remote. 20 miles to the nearest town (pop. 500) and 1.5 hours to the closest town with a commercial airport.
Well, Tom's one of a handful of people that could drive the 50 miles to Sand Hills and be allowed to walk on. Actually, Youngscap might not even allow that. He's kind of a dick....
Isn't the fantasy league better with the half dozen corpses just dragging along the bottom of the rankings?
My Mullen connection (sorry) has confirmed this to me. Says Sandhills is obviously God tier, while Dismal River is having some struggles and isn't what it's cracked up to be. Seems like Prairie Club has passed up Dismal as the #2 Nebraska golf scene according to most everyone. Have never heard a bad thing about it and am tentatively planning a trip up there this fall Any of you boys played Tatanka? Long fucking ways up there from me but I'm going up there this summer too.
No. Buy one. You know you want to. Just pick on up and putt around with it for a bit. What's the harm in that?
I'm also planning a Tatanka trip. Heard nothing but great things about it. Might stop and play Dakota Dunes (my old home course) on the way up depending on how many guys we have.
I haven't played Tatanka yet but one of my good friends has played it on a couple of different occasions. Unfortunately he hasn't played Prairie Club so he can't give a comparison between the two.
I played Whispering Creek up in Sioux(er) City last year. Was very pleasantly surprised. Will play again. There's a par 5 on the back 9 that is a real long fucking hole.
Great track. Grew up 2 minutes from there. 16 is 623 yards uphill. That split green is a real bitch if you're on the wrong side.
He missed by one shot basically. Need to finish -9 last week to keep it and finished -8. Needed to make 40k this week after he fell short last week.
Your at timuquana, right? One of my best friends is related to the pro there and got him on secession last year. Said it was the most peaceful round of golf he's ever played.
Victoria National must be a son of a bitch. I don't recall ever seeing only 4 players finish under par in a web.com event
Any good recommendations on organizers for bags so the clubs don't bang around? Ogio bags look pretty solid but want to explore options that I can add to my current bag.
Anyone have a good website for cheap golf shoes. Have some greenjoys that's I enjoy but want to pick up some inexpensive shoes that breathe a little better for the range.
I'm going to a bachelor party this weekend so trying to get my lineup set early in case I forget. Chasing bonus points with Palmer was a big mistake yesterday though
I already have a nice 14-way cart bag. Keeps the chatter to a minimum but still trying to keep these things pretty for as long as I can.
Gotcha. Mine doesn't eliminate all of the chatter but helps significantly. Get these https://www.walmart.com/ip/HDE-Neop...0498&wl11=online&wl12=118568019&wl13=&veh=sem
The PGA TOUR Policy Board has approved an exciting new two-man team format for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans which will feature two rounds each of Foursome and Four-Ball competition. The change will be in effect for the 2017 tournament, which is scheduled for April 24-30 at TPC Louisiana in New Orleans. It has drawn widespread interest among TOUR members and already has resulted in a couple of high-profile commitments. Announcing their participation today were the teams of World No. 1 Jason Day with Rickie Fowler, and 2015 Zurich Classic of New Orleans champion Justin Rose with Henrik Stenson, the Olympic gold and silver medalists, respectively. http://zurichgolfclassic.com/new-team-format-for-2017-zurich-classic-of-new-orleans/
I'm already "that guy" with my South Korea bag (yes I know I know, but $40 for a brand new bag still in plastic was hard to turn away). I don't think I could handle iron covers as well. http://hotzgolf.com/south-korean-cart-bag.html Ogio bags look like they would do the job but don't want to throw out that type of cash after splurging on the irons
Yea I wanna hear more my boss keeps trying to talk us into this. Also want to hear about accommodations.
