Need some iron suggestions. Been playing with 20+ year old Hogan Apex Edges. Obviously need to upgrade to new technology. Completely overwhelmed, someone help plz
Go to a store and hit everything and buy what feels best, fits your eye best, and gives the best results
Go get fitted; tell him you're open to options and try out a ton of different sticks. Don't necessarily have to buy then as you have options to but used from eBay, GlobalGolf, etc. and you can purchase previous models of a brand/model you like.
Find a demo day at a local course. Hit a bunch of different irons and different shafts. Typically you can get better prices during a demo day as well.
Heading out after work to practice Monte Scheinblums use the bounce short game method. Anyone tried something similar? Looks to be very similar to Sieckmanns teachings.
I'm sidelined right now with a finger injury so I can't do anything but putt and chip. Been putting a ton and started playing 18 holes around the greens and realized how horrible my chipping is as well. I'll do the up and down game once tonight after I've messed with this bounce system.
What exactly does competition areas entail? http://www.wellsfargochampionship.c...WFC Spectator Parking Information 3_17_17.pdf
Lost a golf tournament today. Winning team finished with a 47.9 gross score. Feel like I got pencil whipped horribly.
DeChambeau and Sabbatini playing together is so fitting I can't believe Sabbatini still plays competitive golf
No I bought his 20 dollar video. Really like the system but still getting used to it. I was getting some weird looks this morning when i was taking a full follow through on a 20 foot chip. I also just changed my ball to the e6 speed which doesn't spin as much around the greens so I'm getting used to the run out. The system is a keeper for me though no question. Much simpler for someone who struggles with ball striking using the leading edge.
I ask because I randomly met him at a PGA seminar this week. He was a great guy and really knowledgeable. The business he has built is impressive.
Yea after seeing how many people on golfwrx have flown out to Irvine to get lessons from him or go to a clinic I felt comfortable giving his video some real thought and time.
Do you use that bounce method? It's completely opposite of what I'm used to but I've already stopped the bleeding with the skulls and digs. I'm not really getting up and down yet but that will come with time.
I went away from it but I feel like I should have put more time into it. I have been using a method from the book, The Golf Short Game's Simple Secret by JF Tamayo, which is similar to the more conventional short game methods
I feel like I've already run into a couple of lies where the traditional method is necessary. Per usual it's all shades of grey with golf.
Played 18 yesterday. It's amazing what playing even semi regularly will do to help a golf game. Second hole teed off with a 3 iron ripped one dead straight that according to the cart went 252. Chipped in on the 4th hole. Had a 30 yard chip for eagle on 6 that hit the pin. Finishing up challenged myself to birdie 2 of the last 3. Hit it to 8 feet on 16 but missed the putt. Knocked it in a bunker on 17 but my shot went one bounce hit the pin and stopped next to the hole. Did make birdie on 18 but could have been a lot better
A lot is taking what the shot gives you. Sometimes you are just dead and it's easier to hit a higher percentage shot and accept bogey vs a miracle shot for par.
I've been researching balls a ton lately. It's amazing to see the marketing patterns these companies share. I would bet business schools have used the Pro V1 as a case study a time or two.
Flight to Dublin tonight. Playing Portmarnock, European Club, Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, and Portstewart. Gonna be a helluva 7 days.
