God damn what a shot
What a shot
I like you, Tony, but miss this. I want more.
Hell yeah. Let’s go Homa.
These two guys might play 4 more holes.
This is fun I’m having fun
Have ourselves an old fashioned choke off
I'd rather they start trading awesome shots, but I'd be fine if this went on for another hour.
They’re talking about Max’s attitude and how well he handled that, if they’d listen to Get a Grip they’d know that’s how he is. He always talks about when you get a bad break or hit a bad shot your mind has to switch to thinking “watch this”. Big time shot
Looks like they will both get 3 on this hole. Doubt Homa holes that.
Aren’t you just a ray of sunshine
Another choke. Come on man.
Throwing around choke pretty loosely.
Tony Finau'd again.
Hell yeah. Wish I would have put a little more on Max.
Lol city of champions, Dodgers Lakers and me
Well it's hard not to feel great for Max here
Hell yes! Max is good friends with some of my friends. Super cool he got to win at Riviera.
Hope Max mentions that he has one up on Tiger. Big Cat never won at Riv.
Also, I’ll pretend I was there like I was last year
He mentioned on the latest podcast that he's exhausted and looking forward to next week off. This win gets him in the WGC next week. Ride the heater or rest?
I hedged after the missed putt on 18. Dude just won me over $500 and I’m still bitter as fuck about that putt
Wild that CBS is staying with the broadcast almost an hour into overtime. Figured they were hoping to show Tiger and the trophy presentation.
I wanted to see it as well
Did Homa get any sort of relief on his tee shot that landed next to the tree? I was making dinner and didn’t catch what happened between shots, but it looked like he didn’t have an angle to hit it initially
He can't turn down the free paycheck of a WGC, I assume
Nah. Just hit a great shot. Hooded his wedge and got it on the front of the green.
No relief for that. The ball was a few inches away from the tree and far enough past the flag that he was able to spin a grounder to the green
No, he hit a fantastic shot to get it on the green and almost made the putt
Feels like the Golf Channel and the golf world in general is going to catch up to how easy it is to root for Max. The NLU guys and those who follow them already know.
Which, by the way, means big dollars for Mr. Homa.
Yea I saw the shot, it was unbelievable. Thought it was closer to the tree, but must have been the camera angles.
I moved his ball.
I want to say "angles" but have to admit, after the shot I was thinking the only shot he had was to chip backwards because he's lodged up to the tree and did a double-take when I saw it was 4-6 inches away when I came back from the bathroom.
copacetic help us out here
It's possible the ball moved on it's own from the time they showed the shot finish until the time Max got there.
I was at my club today with my family (kids 5 and 7). Sat down at a table outside to eat. An older boomer guy sits down, AT OUR TABLE, and pulls out a cigar.
I ask him if he uhhh plans on lighting it (not to mention he’s sitting at our TABLE). He says yes. I ask him not to. He says this is a smokers table (it’s not) and this is the only place he can smoke his cigar. Things escalate, dude bows up and my wife moves my family. Gets in my face and I’m like, I don’t want to murder a guy. I end up just walking away but holy shit.
Kick his ass next time
Who sits down at a table that a family is already sitting at?
old, cigar smoking man
Murder him next time.
His wife sat down at our table prior to him. She said she wanted to watch her grandkids at the playground. We didn’t say anything, as weird as that was.
It was truly baffling and enraging.
You sit down at my table where my family is at during a pandemic and start trying to blow smoke all over me and my family and then get in my face after I ask you if you’re really gonna light that up, you’re gonna catch these hands.
I think it's still super frowned upon to savagely beat an old person. Even if they are a dick.
I would certainly want to throw hands. I'd hope I could refrain but my son would hear words and a side of me he's never seen
Honestly it took everything to walk away. I didn’t want my kids to see that shit.
Yep. Not that complicated.
