Shouldn't be too hard to find but I think they are called the "commission pant." FYI If you buy them at the store they will measure you and tailor them for free.
Yea sounded weird. I decided I didn't want to fly back to Austin on gameday so me and a buddy are going out there instead. I've played Streamsong Red, couldn't wait to get back out and play blue. Unfortunately black won't be open yet.
I get the under armor shorts and have them altered so that they hang to about a half inch about the knee. Think it takes them from a 11in inseam go 9.5
If y'all have a minute, can I ask you to throw a vote or 20 Bubba's way? He's in the final of the MetLife MatchUp for best recovery shot. The grand prize is $1,000,000, of which he's pledged $500,000 to our local Children's Hospital that I've been working to fundraiser for since 2014 (the other 500k will go towards junior golf development). We're about halfway to our fundraising goal of $30,000,000 (huge construction project for our area) and that chunk of change would be absolutely massive for us. Thanks, friends. Done. My disdain for Bubba is slightly overweighed by my support for helping sick children. But it's close.
I'm not his biggest fan but his philanthropic efforts tend to overshadow the things I dislike about him. Thanks for the support.
Started playing golf a couple years ago and have gone from shooting well into the 100's to around 90. My driver shot shape has always been a consistent fade with my miss being a over fade/slice. I was totally fine with it as it was consistent, aim up the left side and if I hit it straight I'm up the left side, fade and I'm in the middle, over fade and I'm on the right side. Recently I haven't been able to hit my driver at all. Literally can't get off the tee box. Been hitting a really bad top hook or if I do make good contact it's a hard push. My grip was really strong since my old miss was a hard fade. I've weakened my grip a bunch which has helped a little but I'm still not driving the ball worth shit. Incredibly frustrating because my fairway game to the green is decent but I can't get to the damn fairway all of a sudden.
We are same. My dad is a scratch golfer and fancy's himself as a great teacher. He actually made things worse for me after a few lessons with him. I was beyond frustrated. I wound up watching some YouTube videos. If I can find the particular one I'll post it. Basically I followed the advice and moved my ball position forward and went with a strong grip. Ball is a hair inside of my left big toe at address with the driver. Power fade to slice is now a straight to even a 10 yard draw. My miss will always be a slice but not nearly as severe. Hitting a draw when you want to is such a great feeling. I also changed how I hold the club on tee shots. I do not sole the club anymore. I hover an inch or so off the ground before I start my backswing. It was awkward at first but I am more relaxed before I start the clubhead back.
I'm kind of with you on ball placement, mines even with my big toe...not even the weirdest of the group, friend plays his in the middle of his stance, no matter how many times I get him to place it near the front and he hits a decent drive.
Add on to what roggins said, could also be from swinging in-to-out and coming over the top. I was having that problem recently and changed both that and moving the ball up slightly in the stance and have been a lot more consistent.
Two cents from a reformed hacker here, so take it with a grain of salt. Ball placement and grip are nothing but variables that mean absolutely nothing if you are pulling off the ball, moving your head, drastically shifting weight backwards and have swing plane issues. Save up $500 and find someone to give you a bunch of lessons. It will be the best thing you do. Learn what makes a repeatable swing anf then video yourself and practice. What you 'feel' isn't always what you do. And what you need to be doing will feel completely foreign.
Thanks for voting, guys. Closes today so if you have the chance, throw in 20 more for Bubba. We broke ground on construction recently and are super excited for this project to come to fruition. It'll be nice to fill it with equipment specific to children so we can stop trying to treat them with things built for adults.
I might, I'll probably try to fix it myself. Need to get myself on film and see it I've had lessons in the past and they've helped but my biggest improvement has been videoing myself and just seeing what I'm actually doing vs what I feel like I'm doing. I'm going to get my net back up and video myself and see if I can't pinpoint my problems. It's just frustrating as hell cause my driving has never been a big issue and now that I have my irons sorted out my driving goes to shit. A couple of rounds ago I shot a 83 when I was driving the ball well so I know it's there.
Anyone been to one by themselves? I want to check it out since Louisville doesn't have one, but it looks like I'd be flying solo. Is it any fun playing by yourself? How douchey do you look rolling in with your own bag?
I live pretty close to a Top Golf and I never go. They are really cool in theory but I never really have a reason to go. They are fun with a group, though.
Depends on what time of day you go. If you went now or in the afternoon then I doubt you'd be the only one there solo; there's plenty of people that I've seen using it as an actual practice time that go up solo and with their own gear. I think it could be fun by yourself just to check out for a little bit but probably not for very long
ive been at like 11am and mid afternoon by myself so that I could hit while watching whatever game I was trying to catch. Didn't feel bad bc there werent big crowds. If you go at night I could understand feeling that way....but if you dont have one near your house the no fucks given.
Best round of my life today. User 1 hates this course...probably because of how wide open/boring and easy it is. Spoiler I think because they wouldn't let carts out today and I was so tired from walking that I didn't have time to overthink things. And because I have no idea how to track fairways and putts on that app. 7/13 fairways and 26 total putts. Also one of those 6 fairways I didn't hit was because I put it on the green in one.
Boom TittyMilk the old man and I will be hitting up your old stomping grounds this coming sunday morning.
