Who wants to see Tiger Woods' dong (and Lindsey Vonn nekkid)? https://www.celebjihad.com/lindsey-vonn/lindsey-vonn-tiger-woods-nude-photos-leaked
So I bought a titleist bulleyes putter today off second swing for $34. Thought it would be fun restore it a little...which probably will be just painting the lettering.
Pretty stoked for King Louie on Feherty tonight. Jackie Burke was awesome last week too. 94 and still pretty spry.
My dad plays with a Scotty Bullseye pretty much every summer once green speeds pick up. He has a really good short game
Very general question that I'm sure has many answers, but how often should a course aerate its greens?
I think most courses (here at least) plan it out twice during the year. Once in the spring and once in the fall. For some courses there are times when they need to do it for some greens in the heat of summer because they are getting close to burning up but that's on a case by case basis. I'm sure it's different for different climates/parts of the country.
I was thinking twice a year was the norm. My course has done it basically once a month this year and I don't understand why; the greens have been in really good shape lately and we've gotten much more rain than usual but they just punched/sanded them again. I think they also aren't sure how much sand to use because there has been times when they do it and it's pretty unplayable for a week or two
When we had bent grass we'd do it twice a year (spring/fall). After switching to Bermuda its once a year (summer)
Captain's Cup time again tomorrow. Huge format change this year. Golf stays in, followed by K1 go-kart racing (best lap time determines finish), 8-ball tournament, darts, and then air hockey. After a dismal 2016 effort, I'm looking to bring the medal back home with me.
So does Spieth win this today going away? Would like to see DJ put some pressure on him, but don't think it'll happen.
Twice a year is the usual norm for cool season only turf. There have been theories that the Spring aerification can lead to Poa infiltration so some courses do it once a year. I would spike my greens and top dress at least once a month if I could. Wasn't a fan of doing it in July and August due to heat stress and the stress put on the turf from dragging sand all over it. A correct top dressing program will do wonders for greens by making the playing surface smoother and protect the crowns of the plant. Key word is correct, though.
