My wife was just discussing some research she’s been paying attention to lately regarding our ability to extend our perception to basically make vehicles extensions of our body perception as we drive them more regularly. Imagine going from a Civic to a big truck for example. Weird at first but you adjust. Anyway, I made the logical jump to we all need to be carrying a club around all the time. Neuroscience tip of the day
Id say mix it up, but in retrospect, the best golf I ever played was when was I was bouncing a ball on a wedge all day sitting behind the counter in the pro shop
Yes, I also played the best golf of my life when I was working at a golf course. It probably had more to do with playing for free 2-3 times a week than osmosis or screwing around in the pro shop, but who knows.
did you have the 2019 or 2021 p790s? i've read that the fliers that happened on the 2017/2019 models were significantly reduced with the 2021 model
It has to do with having a better feeling and control of the club face as opposed to osmosis or screwing around
Made a $100 bet with a co worker that the winner would be better than -6.5. He seemed to think the winner would be around par. Having some no name sit at 6 Friday morning put a big grin on my face when I walked by his office.
I was joking around my man. The studies were on sensory perception while driving vehicles, and how it adapts as you go from smaller to larger. I thought the leap to stating carrying around a random golf club would have a net positive effect made that obvious. But as Jigga said, bouncing a ball on a wedge does more than nothing if you’re unable to play/practice. I’m also sure playing every day was why I peaked then
And I was kidding back at you, which is why I used "osmosis." It appears only Jigga took us seriously. Sorry for the confusion. Obviously hand eye coordination drills, random putting and chipping during slow times, practicing your grip and swing are all things that improve your game and are things you do when you work at a course. Along with playing more regularly.
It’s a golf message board right? It would be like some dildo over here making a post and citing 2 no name Twitter accounts.
This really makes me wish it were feasible to quit my job and go back to being a cart kid or shop attendant
I bartended at a public course. It was the best job I ever had. If I ever get to retire I'll be a ranger somewhere.
probably because I don't think the USGA will push the pins on the weekend, but your reasoning and smugness didn't make sense to me.
My thought was that if Duffae was at 6 this early that the better players will tear it up today. With wind picking up that seems unlikely.
