At one time I didn’t, absolutely didn’t have any reason for it either. I’ve had a ton of bad sports opinions through the years, it’s easily top 5 though. So easy to like and one of the better interviews and honest people in sports. The game is better with Rory & hopefully Rory with another few majors.
I kind of think sports should go that way. Less commercials more sponsors, let them put a logo on the screen in the corner for 60 minutes etc.
To his credit he gave a good and (very unusual) selfless answer. Said this win was the most enjoyable of his career and considering he's got a major that's kind of cool.

Doubt JTs mind was sharp enough to think this deep but he may have been playing chess there knowing that next week, month, year, etc... they're all going to be at a normal tournament and he wants that storyline done as far as the media goes. Force their hand once and for all.
