I didn't watch the US Am until Sunday. I thought both of them were slow around the greens but excused it as they were the only two on the course. Bennett's preshot re-gripping stuff is comical, though.
Was curious who was in that room. it’ll be weird to see IF this works how they handle anyone (looking at you, Gooch) who try to migrate back.
It was weird, I kept waiting for the group behind him in the semis to catch up but they never did. I was wondering if he was sprinting to his ball between shots because the amount of time he kept taking once there was preposterous.
I’m in the market for a new bag to pair with my new Ping i525s and the hoofer 14 has terrible reviews on the Ping website.
Hoofer was my bag of choice until I bought my current Sun Mountain. It has been good. I’ll probably go that route again
Ugh for all the chatter about his putting ending his career this seems much more serious. Hopefully this isn’t an Anthony Kim 2.0.
The guy is rich so I'm not surprised he can play nice courses. Surprised the tour is publicizing it/wants anything to do with him.
Had a lesson last night and we broke out the trackman. Club speed average ~108 and ball speed averaged 145-150. I’m struggling to get around on the ball without getting my wrists too involved and snap hooking it when timing is off (was open and leaking right almost all session). Any ideas on how to square the club face on a drive for someone who struggles to not be so handsy in their swing?
I have a Vessel VLS, mainly because I have been waiting over a year on a linksmaster. Vessel bags are definitely more about the look than anything else but the strap system is probably the best on the market for switching between double and single. I have a Jones bag that I really love as well.
I’d say I kind of taught myself growing up and figured out how to time the “flicking” of my hands. Not really hitting down on the ball, no divots etc. This obviously is very inconsistent, especially when tempo is off.
Makes sense. If you were able to cover the ball more at impact you wouldn't have to be handsy. Likely something in your backswing that causes you to start with the hands/arms coming down. Prevents you from wanting to rotate well and getting more forward at impact.
I mean, the country music awards just gave him like a pioneer award or something like that. Everyone has either moved on or decided to champion being a racist now.
Flying wedge drill Upton^2 hit hard stop fast is the name of another drill that helps keep the hands moving and delays the club head from passing and flipping.
Loosen your grip. My only pre-shot thought last round off the tee was “I can’t grip the club lightly enough” and I had one of the best driving rounds of my life.
Without being a doctor and knowing the severity, there's probably a very low chance its a career ender. Lanto Griffin's herniated discs were bad enough he needs surgery and he said he thinks it'll be a couple/few months off and then be back at it. The issue is moreso it'll probably be a persistent thing where even if it goes down, they can pop up at any time again But the biggest issue is this is pretty much the worst possible time this could happen. After the President's Cup, he was probably only going to play again a few times between now and Augusta. But now, he has no President's Cup and he goes from a decent shot at $18 million, and an almost guarantee of +$1.5m, to $500k. That is a massive swing for someone who probably doesn't have massive endorsements yet. At least when NBA players have a bad back and miss the playoffs, they don't lose $10m
I am the same. It's usually because I do a poor job of rotating my chest through the ball and the club gets stuck on the inside and I have to flip and early extend to keep from hitting the ground way behind the ball. For me, some of it stems from an inside take-away, usually from rolling my forearms. Hitting punch shots and trying to hit fades helps me a lot to neutralize my path and keep the club from getting stuck inside.
We had some linksmasters that finally came in. But they have also leaked the file for the new version
I've gotten busy and am only getting 9 holes a week in with zero practice.. Today I had 4 pars and a birdie.. Along with a tripple and 3 doubles.
I’ve never played a scramble where teams get strokes. Might as well invite all the sandbagging and cheating
I am nearly certain I saw it in here, but now can’t find it anywhere. Did it get released that the money you earn in LIV tournaments count against what they paid you up front?
That is what was reported by WSJ multiple times and then was stated during the antitrust/Talor Trials
