Pat Perez is also a pretty good poster child for the major criticisms of LIV. Older golfer who was basically done on the PGA as a serious player, goes to LIV for big payday, makes a shit ton as part of a team and literally contributes nothing to the team.
have you never seen fathers and sons in the same room together? my son swings his arms and pokes his belly out when he walks just like his dumbass father. Trust me half the shit Charlie is doing he has no idea.
I had a former friend do that to a friends wife while they were in the same house. Spoiler so many piece of shit stories about that guy. A couple of times he was given a debit card to get cash out for people and he’d take more then requested and keep the extra for himself.
While some may quibble with Andy whining about various topics, the hate for PGA Tours app seems pretty universal.
Love Paiute. When I was out there the wind was maybe 5mph. Absolutely beautiful day, both groups I played with kept talking about how it’s usually a lot windier and picked a perfect day to play there.
Also to add to houtex716 ’s troubles before I tried to use NLU and Trap as a code on rhoback just now but had to create an account to use them. But they weren’t any different than what I was getting from the code EARLY so I used that instead. Because they’re having 20% off site wide right now with that code. Bought two hoodies, the hit stick and the capital. Was going to go the trek and the bullseye but didn’t have my size in bullseye.
First order of business, I will be host of the elevated events series to be played at my country clubs and a few others of my choosing (Riv, Olympia Fields, Southern Hills, Inverness, etc)
this piece is from June but still an interesting read. I am very interested to see how the few LIV players that are eligible perform in majors. I certainly but into the theory that the "practice" on the PGA tour is the best way to mentally prepare for a major. Thought Dustin and Dechambeau both did well in the British. It will be interesting to see how guys like Cam do once they are playing for shits and giggles 90% of the time.
Do any of you guys have a sweet golf storage setup? Im thinking about trying to create some kind of "Golf locker" theme in my garage for all the golf bags in our family (4 total), plus all our gear, pushcart, putting mat, etc. Make a spot to hang out in the garage and either watch TV while putting or just a sweet looking storage area.
sounds like he is PGA unless the floodgates open and the current PGA big names move to Liv or a potential PGL.
shot an 82 today, +1 on the back 9 so could have been a lot better. had some bad approach shots that were short on the front 9 leaving me in a shitty spot
Got paired up at my club with a couple from another club who were traveling through. They were playing the tees one back of where I normally play so I went back there with them. Scored 4 strokes better than I usually shoot. Strange game.
Obviously could’ve been just one of those random-ass types of rounds because that’s just kind of how golf goes. But curiously, was your club selection off the tee any different, especially on the par 4s? I ask because I have friends who way over-think using irons off par 4 tees now and don’t realize they miss just as many fairways with their irons as they do driver, so they might as well just get the benefit of extra distance. The problems of high single digit handicaps.
i was thinking about this and I usually put a few post round notes into my notepad when I have positive rounds. I’ll go back and read them every few weeks. A bunch of things before I teed off went my way. I’ve been trending in a good direction all year I was able to not be rushed and get a good warm up. 30 mins of short game/putting/range each so I was able to be in a good spot with my swing and also know misses. Hit some thin practice chips and knew my adjustment. Keeping the ball in play off the tee is my biggest weakness. Knew where my driver was going all day. I was way more focused on my preshot process. I tend to get away from it when playing/drinking with friends. Was just decisive and committed with my shots. Easier to do when with strangers. Swing feel was keeping right arm pressed into ribcage on downswing. Did some towel drill work to regain some connection. Easy game.
Stuck one on a par 3 and laced a 4 iron from 230 to 15 ft from the pin on a par 5 then drained the eagle putt. Other than that it was a shit round today. I just look at a day like today that I’m building the handicap.
I finished the season of it’s an 18.6 handicap. It’s my lowest since high school 20 years ago when I played every day for a 12 handicap. I’m happy. I hope I can start really shooting in the 80’s more consistently next year.
This sounds like everything that Whan saught out to accomplish has disappeared in 18 months since he left
Duffy was on one last week "I'll bet you 4 to 1 that I have more money in my pocket than your true net worth" - to SBF back in March
I totally agree with him and it'd be great if someone with more time than me could school everybody else in here on what he's talking about
It's really something that they saw how awful Golf.com was and thought, hey I bet we could do worse than that.
Traditional golf media trying to compete with non-traditional golf media is always, always cringeworthy.
I mean at this point legacy golf media should just accept their fate and think that they have 15 years of serving anyone 50+, maximize that window and ride off into the sunset. Anyone younger than that has likely found the blog/podcast combo that they prefer.
Still plenty of room for new blood in golf media if those foreplay losers can get as much access as they have
I appreciate that the people I like don't have to try and cater to the Stoolie crowd. Everyone can stay in their lane.
Counter point: this sounds like an egomaniac had his feelings hurt in front of his friends and needs to be a grown up about it instead of airing out people without providing context for his claims other than “embarrassing to the Tour and to me personally.”
