You’re suggesting for him to bail on the trip over the par 3 course?
And I get yours. A cap to a great day and drinking, for sure. But as a course by itself, play one of the others on property.
Can’t wait to go to Pinehurst in 3 weeks and play 0 golf
I’m saying I’d be out if people were going to be that hard to deal with.
I do tend to agree that a good par 3 course is nice for a long golf trip. Stick it as the second round of a long day and make sure everyone gets good and fucked up.
I’d need to see the full agenda before weighing in
We play it every year & probably move more money during that than any other part of the trip. Nothing like your entire group seeing where you are on every green & throwing money shouts on each putt
The Cradle and Thistle Du was an awesome part of the pinehurst experience for me personally. It was a nice break from the ass-kicking I got on #2.
I have no clue how they are but I was in DFW airport and was killing time in Johnston & Murphy. They had the lightest golf shoes I’ve ever felt. It was like I was holding a Kleenex.
On another topic, I’ve decided I’m not playing golf anymore if it’s cart path only and wet. I just can’t get over my mental block.
love the ending
Do they let you use a push cart and walk? It’s my preferred way to play now.
Yes but I’m old with a bad back, knee, and foot issues so that isn’t an option right now.
I have 4 pairs of true OG feels. Love them. True was having some really nice deals the past week or so.
My gut says this is not going to "appeal to a new audience" and will flame out quickly. Golf is boring to people who don't play it.
He needs some oofos shoes and slides.
If anyone is in Omaha and would like to join me for a round at my club(simulator) please let me know.
My gut says you have a stupid face
Did you actually join a club this time or is this another ruse? If so, where are you at?
That was never in question.
Semi ruse. I Joined the simulator club g fairways that is opening up out west.
I don’t think I’ve claimed to have joined a club before though. I inquired at players a few years ago and just got the form letter, not accepting new members. Took lessons at players around the time. Take tune-ups at champions now.
Randomly stumbled on the idea that I can join the auburn country club as a distance memeber for cheap to see if I can use that to get on private courses when I travel.
That's over an hour away. Just join Ashland CC if you're looking for a cheap private course. Better yet, I think I've mentioned this to you before too, but I'm fairly certain you can still get membership at the Field Club for no initiation and just a flat monthly fee.
In any case, I wouldn't join any private course if the major reason in doing so is to have a hook up for other private courses. It doesn't really work that way. Jmo.
Haha, auburn is 230 for a distance member so figured it was a drop in the bucket to see if it worked. When I checked into field club their website mentioned an initiation fee, but I never looked further into it. I’m just all over the place.
Been needing a new 5 wood for years but couldn’t justify spending the money on a club I might use twice in 10 rounds. Got an email from my company to use our “company bucks” for Christmas gifts. Completely forgot about my employer giving us “bucks” to shop with on their website with their corporate partners. Used them to buy a new callaway rogue 5 wood. I’ll just have to pay to get a new stiff shaft put on once I get it so merry Christmas to me.
I love how it's golf twitter that would get me in trouble/weird looks on the train.
Guess who's next up on the timeline and I don't even follow her
If you start developing foot pains like Tiger, look into oofos footwear and stop being a baby.
Played Torrey with some buddies and got absolutely bamboozled by the check in guy:
“First time playing here?”
“Yea, we’re excited… we’ll need two carts”
“carts? Most people actually walk the course their first time”
“Yea, ok, let’s do it!”
it was fucking miserable and they very clearly just didn’t have enough carts for everyone.
They can see the rubes coming.
ISPS Handa is elite golf viewing
Lol my co-worker played in that this weekend. They shot a 62.
That’s a tough course and it was wet, people have no shame.
Lol damn near every time
Have a few buddies that played, too. They said there was a lot more heckling than what you can see in that video.
excuse the source
What was the prize they won?
respect and admiration from their fellow competitors
And shop credit!
There’s a video of them getting in their car as someone is asking why the didn’t stay around to get their picture.
Callaway's driver next year looks like a bowling ball
I kinda like it. Might finally be time to upgrade and leave Jigga in dust. Equipment is the only advantage he has....
You ain’t got the fire power to stay with me, new clubs or not
