It was a combination of both. Thought he was too technical and mechanical after the 2009 incident. Feels like he wasted a significant portion of his career because he was too focused on playing technical golf and not playing the course, proper shots, etc. He has done a complete 180.
This coverage kind of sucks imo. A lot of missed holes and even when you do see them the way they have the cameras positioned you can barely see where the balls land. US coverage is far superior.
I picked a great day to not be able to sleep and wake up at 430. Fleetwood is on fire. At least spieth got it done.
Guys, I just want to say that I love you. I mean even those "like" Jigga I guess I've taken for granted the non retarded takes and even somewhat thoughtful discussions we have in here. That Ryder Cup thread was great this morning before the casual golf fan came in there with only the hottest of takes based on what they saw after watching 30 mins of Foursomes.
Sure is. People forget too easy that...WE HAVE THE BETTER PLAYERS Anyway, this post in there got me lol
I lost it in the thread a little bit but that was more about Furyk's foursome selections than the players.
Bulworth I didn't read it that way. It wasn't a post quoting any other post and I didn't leave anything out of the post or edit it in any way.
Overslept and wake up to a ton of blue on the board. This is not ideal. It will take something miraculous to turn the Finau/Koepka match so need the rest to somehow get some momentum
We're going to need some guys to pull their shit together in 4somes to have a shot tomorrow. My choices for later: JT-Jordan DJ-Koepka Rickie-Finau Webb-Bryson(?) Phil hasn't been spotted warming up so I'm hopeful Furyk does the right thing and benches him today. If he trots out there with Bryson again then we're waving the white flag.
Brookline: Europe led 10-6 going into Sunday Medinah: US led 10-6 going into Sunday JT and Jordan have to close this out and then obviously need a big time afternoon, but getting it to 10-6 by the end of the day would he huge
As I sit and look at the pairings more I can't help but wonder why not at least switch up the order some. The Fleetwood/Molinari buzzsaw has been in the third spot all 3 matches, may as well have sacrificed Bubba and Webb to them and give Tiger a chance at someone else Great shots into 16 there
Granted, we’d still be getting killed based purely on play. But everything Furyk has done so far has been chalk. Not a single adjustment based on current play, other than sitting Phil and Reed.
He expected Reed to pull it together much like Rory after match 1 yesterday being "Captain America" and all but Reed just really hasn't been great since The Masters
