Plenty of time left...I bet Watson heads up so I gotta keep my head of a swivel.
I’m guessing RB based on the outdoor table description
I am not going to put that on the record.
Holy shit, Wolff. Accidentally hit his birdie putt during a practice swing.
That can't be what happened. I thought that was no longer a penalty if you didn't address the ball?
When Zach Johnson accidentally clipped the ball at the Masters off the tee on a practice stroke, he just re-teed and it was still his 1st shot. I do not understand this.
Not watching but WTH is DJ doing? +5?!
He didn't get charged a penalty, he didn't really know what to do, but eventually just put it back and putted from the original spot.....and 3 putted from there
So it didn't even county as a stroke? He put it back....and THEN 3 putted?
Rule change last year. It’s not a stroke or a penalty if it’s obvious you aren’t trying to hit the ball.
The course is hard. Watching this and I’d probably shoot a 140 having to putt these greens.
Yup that’s my first round pick
What does he carry instead of a 3 iron? A second driver?
Edit: Never mind. I see gap wedge there.
I'd argue he's not doing enough.
Shout out to Tommy Two Gloves (aka the Solicitor General) leading the PR Open
Two out of bounds tee shots leading to two double bogeys combined with losing 2.4 strokes on the greens will do that to you
operation naughty Santa will forever make me lol
Based on my set up, I could probably get a mulligan anytime I want.
This course looks like it would be miserable to play for anything less than a pro
Soly shot 85 and he's a scratch. The other NLU camera guy shot 89 and he's like a 3 or something like that.
That was also from a tee forward compared to the pros
Call golf galaxy this morning to see if my new driver. They checked and it didn’t arrive yet. I decide to go play this afternoon since I haven’t been able to play in about a month. Get on the second tee and they call to let me know it just came in. Happy it’s in but would have loved to try it out today.
Anyone tried this?
Annika Sorenstam playing for the first time in 13 years.
Are you serious?
She played better than I expected.
Accidentally hitting your ball while on the tee has never been a penalty because the ball was not yet in play. On the putting green that rule change is deemed that you “own the spot” once you’ve marked your spot and it comes down to intent. So DJ’s ball moving the tiniest amount on the green at Oakmont would not have been a penalty
Look at lil Jigga all the way on the bottom of the standings
Ty Webb Houndster
You guys ever do the Nebraska golf pass?
Just trying to show how not rigged it is
No but I am intrigued
I have not
there is a nicklaus course 2 hours from me in palmetto bluff that reminds me a lot of concession. Tons of deep green side bunkering with elevated countoured greens with severe run offs. $300 a round and one of the finest manicured courses in the state. I played once with a caddie, played ok and absolutely hated almost every second of it. I’m just a shitty 16 handicap but every shot into the green felt impossible for me.
where can I get a free stream to watch this....
that's crazy lol
Now adjust it for inflation.
The tour didn't bother with that when they put up a graphic with Charlie Hoffman as the all time top performers in the Texas Open based on career earnings at the event.
Billy H is golfing his ball today.
