Did Straka see a shark in that lake or something? Why doesn't he just get his foot in the water and bump it 40 yds forward?
Zalatoris hitting a 10 footer to make the playoffs and a 14 footer to save par in the playoffs and not getting a win might break him
Poor Straka, one guy yelling for his ball to go in the water, crowd erupting when he just hit the sand lol
Man, all Straka had to do was hit middle of the green or even get into the back bunker on his tee shot. Pretty much absolutely anything but hit the water. And he went straight at the flag into the water. Bizarre
Huh? A tough par 4 is a great test. And it doesn't matter what hole(s)they play in a playoff, someone is either going to step up or someone is gonna make a mistake. Pressure is a real thing (summoning my inner Azinger).
Need help with my alignment, is that just strictly get on the range with some alignment tool and figure it out? Other tips/tricks?
The issue is anything you practice will be tough to take to the course. The best advice I was ever given on alignment was to use the intermediate target just in front of the ball, set the face to your target, then while looking at the target allow your body to align itself naturally. So on the course it looks like this, find a small spot between your target and the ball, set the face square at that spot, now look up at your target and then take your set up. Give it a go, alignment stick on the range can help you feel the correct position, especially if you’re way off.
I think this is the most substance I’ve ever heard from Rickie. Would be great if Spieth would come out with something similar
This is great advice and something I’ve been using a ton lately in letting your body align itself while looking at the target. I struggle big time with getting my feet in good alignment, but then my shoulders shift so my upper body is way off. Now, when letting my body align itself as I set up, I’ll stand straight up when I’m setting up to make sure I feel my shoulders stay square
if I’m having a bad day, it’s almost always alignment. Definitely have other issues, but bad alignment completely breaks me. I’ve tried everything, but my body will randomly decide that parallel to target is 30 yards right, especially when I’m not getting out much. If I’m lucky, I catch it myself or a playing partner will let me know, and I basically have to feel left the rest of the round and can limp to a decent finish. Would pay a lot of money to permanently solve that
