Does anyone have a good indoor putting mat they like? I'd be looking for 6-9 feet, probably under 100 bucks.
I think I’m getting a 2x8 1/2inch birdie ball. Live in an apartment so I will have to move it from time to time.
Can’t remeber what it’s called but the Ryder cup bar has a fried green tomato sandwich with pimento cheese and bacon that is absolute heaven. Pretty sure you can run it back for next to nothing at any of the the other courses in the afternoon if you have time for 36.
I’m curious about this as well. Doing a renovation next year on our house and planning to put a decent golf simulator in.
Pinehurst trip was amazing. Too many great pics to post. Ended up playing Mid Pines, Tobacco Road, #2, the Cradle, and #4. Got rained out of Pine Needles. Mid Pines wasn’t in great shape in my opinion, but locals raved about it. Tobacco Road reminded me of Northern MI courses and I thought it was bad ass. Some blind shots that others didn’t enjoy, but I thought it was great. Played #2 in 25 mph winds and it kicked my ass. The greens were the most pure of anywhere that I’ve played. Not worth the cost in my book. Not a lot of memorability in the course. Lots of the same type of holes. Thought #4 was great. Elevation changes with that and thought it’s a perfect compliment to #2 for the US Am Spoiler
Had a chance to play today, first round since August of last year (hit the range once a couple months ago). Expected to be awful but hit it surprisingly well, especially off the tee. Made the turn at 3 over, having missed three really good looks for birdie. Then I lost it from holes 10-12 (double-bogey-double). Apparently a bird was paying attention and let me know what he thought of my play. Got it back together and brought it in for an 80, with the only birdie on the par 3 17th. Hit a dart inside 2 feet.
That had to be foreshadowing that Tim at least doubled 17, right? Also, impressive aim on that bird considering that (I'm guessing) there was a roof on that cart.
When I looked at the card before I read the caption, I thought you were trolling Jigga with a guy making back to back 1s and another guy in the group also making a 1 on the same hole. I do like how you keep score but it would get hard for me to add up 72 and 27 because math is hard.
Thought of the day... I really, really enjoy seeing that Jigga is in last place in our fantasy league by $1 million. That is all.
Did virtually the same trip the weekend before. I really liked Mid Pines. It got a ton of rain Masters weekend. Also made my first ace on the 4th hole of Pinehurst #3.
