They Weekend at Bernie'd her Cops pulled them over and they put a hat and glasses on her dead body and cop let them go
I downloaded it, but found this when I was searching. Looks like it will be on PBS tomorrow. Beyond Utopia | North Korea Escape Documentary | Independent Lens (pbs.org)
The new documentary simply titled “January 6” on HBO is very good. 2.5 hours long and lots of footage from the event. I know we’ve all read/watched a lot about these events but this one stood far above other pieces on the subject imo. Should be required viewing for people that would even consider voting for Trump this November… some of the stuff is truly horrifying and makes your skin crawl when you see it first hand.
I watched this earlier today, it’s very well done. The Pastor’s life mission of aiding defectors is remarkable. Honestly it made me feel damn lucky to be an American.
Dan Cummins did a podcast on the West Memphis 3, and now I want to watch these somewhat related docs. This one is kind of old now, unfortunately This one is a lot more related to that case, or specifically, satanic panic.
“The program” on Netflix is another insane story I had never heard about. I recommend. the women confronting their abusers is pretty powerful
Posted in Middle East thread but not a lot of attention there, interesting look at Syria's main export these days. Captagon first got attention for ISIS/other Syrian rebel groups giving it to their fighters before battles it's basically an insanely souped up amphetamine.
I just watched this again like a month ago after a podcast that I listen to did a deep dive into it. Pretty remarkable doc especially for being that long ago.
Binged the 3 episodes of Dancing for the Devil tonight with the wife. It's not bad, not outstanding, but worth the watch. Austin Eckler appears in it a couple times.
Somehow never heard about the doc Overnight about Troy Duffy, creator of Boondock Saints til Russillo mentioned it It's definitely worth a watch Never knew that guy was an all time egomaniac
I watched this and thought it was pretty good. The eight-episode Secrets of The Hells Angels goes deep into the world of the most secretive and notorious biker club. Exposes the true cost of being a member of the world's most infamous biker club: the Hells Angels. Under former leader Sonny Barger, the Hells Angels "brotherhood" expanded across the United States. With continued accusations of criminal activity, the biker club became known as a serious threat and not to be crossed. "Secrets of the Hells Angels" examines the history of the group of outlaws to uncover the organization's darkest secrets. With access to 5 former chapter presidents including Charles "PeeWee" Goldsmith, Thomas Eriksen, Pat Matter, Matt Zanoskar and George Christie alongside exclusive interviews with law enforcement officers, undercover agents, victims and more, it is revealed that the Hells Angels were a much more violent, devious, and highly organized group than anyone realized.
I would absolutely say that was a top 5 documentary I've ever watched. 50 cent is fucking crazy though he was very small part of it Sucks that I pay for showtime through my cable but gotta pay for this shit, gonna watch the doc on the original rap videos next
When Vicky White, a highly respected corrections officer, aids the escape of a violent felon nearly twenty years her junior, it reveals an unexpected love story amidst the ensuing high-profile manhunt and media frenzy.
The legendary feud between Wyatt Earp and Ike Clanton unfolds through vivid reenactments in this gritty docudrama about the gunfight that defined an era.
This documentary gets more insane every episode, chimpanzee people are the craziest people on the planet
Highly recommend. I didn’t realize all the other stuff that resonated because of the OK Corral shootout.
Wife told me about these 2 documentaries, so I watched them today... Trust me, documentaries have come a long way since 2002. But this is like a BBC social experiment of putting 10/11 year old children in a house without supervision for 5 days. I was told the girls had order and the boys were just utter chaos, so I watched the boys first thinking it would be more entertaining. It wasn't, I was much more entertained by the girls. If you want some Kid Nation-esque 2002 BBC documentary of Lord of the Flies, here you go.
This is good In a legendary feat of leadership and perseverance, polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton kept his crew of 27 men alive for over a year despite the loss of their ship in frigid pack ice. Over a century later, a team of modern-day explorers sets out to find the sunken ship. From National Geographic Documentary Films and directed by Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin and Natalie Hewit, ENDURANCE tells the inspiring stories of these two landmark expeditions, bound by their shared grit and determination.
Saw this out in torrance land. Examining lives of owners of famous houses from TV/movies, exploring interactions with fans, unexpected fame, and how mass nostalgia impacts personal spaces.
Went by the Breaking Bad house last year and it appeared all the tourism had driven the owner insane.
San Francisco was the epicenter of the American rave scene and witnessed some legendary events that began in the early ‘90s. These all-night electronic-music dance parties are culturally iconic and socially important.
