That sucks. Saw this listed on Netflix and was excited to check it out because it sounded pretty interesting actually. Just watched The imposter, thought it was awesome.
I would assume most people know of this, but maybe a few don't....Justin TV has a ton of documentary channels. http://www.justin.tv/directory/entertainment/documentary?lang=en
Hey guys, i'd really like to be able to see The Imposter. Is there a link to this anywhere...preferably something that can stream so I don't have to download it? That would be great. Thanks in advance.
Good list. I am partial to Slow Century because its Pavement and it was really hard to come by footage/recordings of them pre-youtube. The Fearless Freaks is amazing but I'm sure you've seen it based on your taste in music. Don't see how anybody could watch that documentary and not come out a fan of The Flaming Lips.
I was actually a fan of the Lips back in the mid-nineties to early 2000's, but ever since they started getting bigger, and Wayne started ranting more and more, their appeal fell off for me. Last time I saw them was Red Rocks several years ago and Wayne just babbled incessantly. I'll never go see them again. In fact, the only reason I even went is because they were co-billing with Ween, whom I have been a fan of since I was thirteen, and will never not love. And speaking of Ween, a good documentary needs to be made about them. Now that would be a GOAT music doc.
This is about the same for me actually. My favorite stuff was when Ronald Jones was in the band (Hit to Death.., Transmissions..., and Clouds Taste Metallic). After he left I never really got into the stuff they were doing again. Soft Bulletin is a great album but they moved away from what I liked about the music so I kind of stopped listening. I still think the documentary is great though and tells a great story.
I actually kind liked Embryonic, cause it was really dark and fuzzy, but Wayne has ruined their live show, IMO.
Not the high brow material a lot of you guys are posting but 6 Days To Air is pretty cool. Shows the workflow of South Park and how they produce each episode in just 6 days.
Spoiler I agree. I'd love for the body to be found, and for there to be a proper investigation into who killed him.
Awesome awesome movie. I watched via YouTube on my phone and the quality at the end turned to shit. Can anyone tell me what the shit said at the end in the epilogue? Spoiler that bitch and her junkie son definitely killed the kid
Please see my above my post and answer my question if ya can. Really don't wanna have to go fire up a computer downstairs to see what the epilogue was. Thanks :3
Spoiler He was sentenced to 6 years in prison for the fraud. Returned to France and 3 years later tried stealing the identity of a missing 14 year old. He's now married with 3 kids
Guy was a boss Spoiler any info about the actual kid/what the private eye was looking into? The family definitely killed the kid btw I'm sure of it
Spoiler He was still digging in that guys back yard. Apparently the current homeowner was cutting grass and saw something that looked like a tarp sticking out of the ground. He didn't think anything of it until contacted by the private eye. It was right under a bush in a corner of a fenced in backyard that would have been perfect to hide something. Really crazy story though. And no way in hell they knew that wasn't their son. He looks nothing like him. They were hiding Nicholas's death
damnit. wanted to go to bed at a respectable hour but i just saw the trailer for imposter and i can't pass that up. creeped me out though so i'm going to lock my door before i play it.
Spoiler they were white trash plain and simple. My theory is the junkie son and the mom were shooting up or something, accidentally killed him and then covered it up. The whole family may or may not know and I don't think they meant to kill him (coulda been heat of the moment) but they did something. The failed polygraph and angry response to asking about the boy swung me
Anyone ever see the Jimi Hendrix special on Bio where they had the narrator read Jimi's own letters and told the story as if it was Jimi himself? Called "Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child" http://www.biography.com/tv/biography/episodes/jimi-hendrix-voodoo-child It was great hopefully one of y'all can find a YouTube version.
Spoiler One of my favorite parts was the imposter guy dancing in jail with a mullet. Lost it when I saw that.
Watched the imposter and Enron. The Imposter - ummm wow. Not much more to say. Enron - ummm wow. Not much more to say.
if anyone is interested in head injuries by nfl players, etc theres a good doc on netflix called head games goes into detail about how head injuries arent diagnosed properly and how for years the nfl denied and covered-up the effects of head injuries/concussions
I've seen that when I was scrolling through netflix. Been planning on watching it, but I've had plenty of concussions and I'm not sure I want to see what could very well be my future. Saw one about a former college player from some ivy league school a few weeks ago, and it scared the absolute shit out of me.
About to give the imposter a shot. This isn't a true doc right? Seems like I remember a movie supposed to come out on this.
