It's been 20 years since a club went out of business. This is insane. I'm hoping the deal somehow goes through and they salvage this club. I always thought they were pretty cool.

The takeover has to happen by the weekend I believe or they are done and it doesn't look likely.

They already are. They've completely turned over their roster and can't commit to more than one month of wages at a time.

 

Africans all across their continent will be donning Pompey attire soon enough.

Portsmouth have now been in administration for an entire year, somehow, and are £60m in debt. Either the Pompey Supporters Trust buys them out of administration by the end of the season or they'll lose their football league membership. They were forced to turn down a bid for another buyout. Best case scenario has become relegation to League Two. Worst case is complete liquidation. God damn.
