Worked out with him at my gym on a few occasions & played golf with him twice. Super nice guy IMO, but obviously not comfortable in large social situations.
hopefully he keeps tripping people so we don't have to hear all about his road to redemption at season's end
You guys remember when Shi-sheshky felt it necessary to lecture that Oregon player in the handshake line and then lied about it? Good times.
so apparently Coach K more or less said in his post game that he's the only one that knows how to best handle the situation and he doesn't care what other people think, and hinted there wouldn't be any more to it. What an arrogant old prick, the ACC needs to step in
Sadly that's actually pretty low on the totem pole of despicable actions the ACC has seen from their coaches in recent years
He also couldn't remember the name of the player Graymond tripped despite just meeting with him so he could tell media that Graymond apologized to him in person.
Sounds like it'll be on the ACC to suspend him...apparently only he can tell other coaches players what to do "I handle things the way I handle them,'' the Duke coach said. "And I think I've handled this correctly and I will continue to handle it correctly, and I don't need to satisfy what other people think I should do.''
Big fan of Grayson and his antics. All he does is throw down ridiculous dunks and trip people. What a fascinating combination.
This one pisses me off the most. Sure, it's an FSU player, but the trip happened with 3 seconds left in a 15 point game. He was 30 feet from the ball and not remotely involved in the play. What a fuckin' scumbag.
I'm confused why there is all this uproar. Just give the kid a technical and move on. If he keeps doing it, suspend him a game (maybe that should be the penalty after 3 infractions). It's just tripping, not Joe Mixon-ing.
He's done it 3 times and threw a tantrum after he got t'd up. He's a douche who shows no pattern of not doing this time and time again.
I don't follow basketball that much but damn that tantrum was awful. He may as well have thrown himself on the ground and started kicking until he was spinning.
If Grayson Allen from Duke was Jamal Parker from Miami he'd have been suspended last year after his 2nd egregious trip imo. It's insane it took a 3rd incident for him to get punished.
Here is his statement: "I handle things the way I handle them, and I think I've handled this correctly, and moving forward I will continue to handle it correctly, and I don't need to satisfy what other people think that I should do. And I'm a teacher and a coach, and I'm responsible for that kid. So I know him better than anybody. So to think that it's the last thing said about this to him is wrong. Obviously we will do more. Doesn't mean you have to see it, or anybody else has to see it, but what he did tonight was right. That's what people do. They say they're sorry. They accept responsibility. They want to make sure that the other party knows that. Anyone else who wants to take shots about anything else -- about Duke and me or whatever -- go for it. Go for it. Because that's territory that I'm comfortable with." I think it is time to reevaluate. If you handled it correctly, this wouldn't continue to happen.
I will never understand the universal love for coach K. Pros love him, the NCAA sucks him off, other coaches talk about him like he's the godfather. Coach K is the biggest hypocrite of all time. He scolds other players on opposing teams but leaves that Queer in the game after the incident. He talks down to pretty much everyone. If Bruce Pearl or John Calipari pulled half the shit Lord K does they would be crucified. Coach K gets free passes. Fuck that guy.
