I think they make good beer
For being sellouts?
I forgot about that. That was the guy that said he didn’t know if Obama was black because he never met him right?
Evans’ Attorney, Jack Schulz: When did you first meet Tracy Evans?
Founders Manager Dominic Ryan: 2011, 2012. We had mutual friends before working there, so …
Schulz: OK, So you knew Tracy prior to his employment at Founders?
Ryan: We met a few times, yes.
Schulz: OK, are you aware Tracy is Black?
Ryan: What do you mean by that?
Schulz: Are you aware Tracy is African-American?
Ryan: I’m not sure of his lineage so I can’t answer that.
Schulz: Alright. Are you aware that Tracy is a man of color?
Ryan: What do you mean by that?
Schulz: No? Do you know … You don’t know what it means for someone to be a white person or a Black person?
Ryan: I’m asking for clarification.
Schulz: You don’t need any. I can promise you that. We’ll keep the record as is. Someone’s skin color. A white …
Ryan: So that’s what you’re referring to?
Schulz: Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Ryan: OK. Yes, I know the difference in skin tone.
Schulz: Are you able to identify individuals by their skin tone?
Ryan: What do you mean “identify”?
Schulz: I mean have you ever looked at Tracy Evans in your entire life? Have you? That’s a … that’s a genuine question.
Founders Attorney: Objection. Argumentative.
Founders Attorney: You can answer.
Schulz: And did you ever realize that Tracy’s skin [is] Black?
Ryan: That’s not … I mean, is his skin different from mine? Yes.
Ryan: What do you mean “how”? It’s a different color.
Schulz: And what is the difference of that color?
Ryan: It’s darker.
Schulz: And that means?
Founders Attorney: Objection. Vague question.
Schulz: I mean, we could … This could be a one-sentence answer, you know. So by your … I guess your testimony is you have no idea if Tracy is a minority, if he’s African-American?
Ryan: I don’t know Tracy’s lineage, so I can’t speculate on whether he’s … if he’s from Africa or not.
Schulz: What do you mean lineage, from Africa?
Ryan: No. I mean, like, I don’t know his DNA.
Schulz: Have you ever met Black people who aren’t from Africa?
Ryan: Excuse me?
Schulz: Have you ever met a Black person born in America?
Schulz: And you were able … Have you ever met a Black person who didn’t tell you they were Black?
Ryan: Can you rephrase that?
Schulz: Is Barack Obama Black?
Founders Attorney: Objection.
Schulz: To your knowledge?
Ryan: I’ve never met Barack Obama so I don’t …
Schulz: So you don’t know if Barack Obama is Black? What about Michael Jordan? Do you know if Michael Jordan is Black?
Founders Attorney: Objection
Ryan: I’ve never met him.
Schulz: So you don’t know him? What about Kwame Kilpatrick?
Ryan: Never met him.
Schulz: To your knowledge, was Kwame Kilpatrick Black?
Ryan: I …
Schulz: You don’t know?
Ryan: I don’t know.
Our shelter in place is getting announced today for tomorrow
Honestly of all of the places to be during a shelter in place, Michigan spring/summer is a pretty damn good option, assuming we can get out to the parks/trails/lakes. Just need these temps to get to the 50s+ and stay there.
I would rather winter when no one wants to go outside at all and it's dark a majority of the day anyway
Expect this to be the 2 week deal like others have done or longer? Curious because the school date was 4/6/2020 which is also 2 weeks from today.
she pushed back restaurants and other ban until 4/13
I wouldn't count on schools reopening this school year
I'm not to be honest. I missed that it was extended to 4/13. That was when we would have gone back anyhow with our Spring Break being the week of 4/6.
Wonder if any of the spring summer sports get off the ground at all. Seems unlikely
totally ruins my plans of maybe getting dressed today
Does this mean restaurants are closed for carry out?
Actually she just said they can remain open.
I did laugh audibly at the liquor stores being tabbed as essential services.
I had chuckled about this in NYC and then my wife clued me in that if alcoholics go through withdrawals it’ll further tax the hospital systems.
Makes some sense, however lots of grocery stores carry alcohol. Seems it could be avoided putting more people out and about.
Golfing for the first time today. Everything closed at my course, but allowing people to go out if you have your clubs and will walk. Cant touch rakes or flag sticks.
Where you playing?

stay safe y'all. my fam in Detroit is a bit freaked out rn. down here in Charlotte things are feeling a bit calmer
Going crazy in Detroit. Spreading faster than basically anywhere in the country
Yeah i am keeping up with the Freep headlines more this week. The fam has been taking it seriously for longer than any official quarantines so just trying to stay positive. My 94 year old grandma is our primary concern but she's completely cut off obv ...
Fully expected this from the beginning but this is the first mention by Whitmer that schools unlikely to reopen until the fall.
Fuck the U.P.
Because apparently we need 2 senators representing 311,000 people, which is roughly 53% of the population of Wyoming, the current least populated state.
Love the UP, spent most my summers up there, but they absolutely could not support themselves as a state. So many working government jobs and getting assistance, they'd have no tax base.
Yeah, it is a total fantasy. It would make more sense to give them to Wisconsin or Canada then make them a state.
And I love the UP. My dad is from the UP and I've spent a lot of time up there with family growing up. It's beautiful and rustic and pleasant and can't support itself at all.
I don't think this is a serious movement, it's probably related to the Upper Peninsula of Wisconsin Twitter handle
Not sure who all else is here DeToxRox and ~ taylor ~ maybe?
Good COVID-19 dashboard for Oakland County
Stay safe guys. We will get through this guys.
fuck off Vinegar Strokes
Why are you such a cunt lib boy?
Mucho obliged. Beaumont is going to be a mess next week (it’s already a mess but it’ll be worse)
suck my dick from the back
If there ever was a time to stop being a cunt, it would be now. You’re pathetic.
Live in oakland county and work in Detroit...fun times. Luckily we've almost fully transitioned to online court so I havent had to go to Detroit for a couple weeks. I've been exposed to people who tested positive I found out but it's been 14 days since then now.
My best friend (literally is usually at my apartment every day of the week) is a home health care worker for adults with developmental disabilities. She works in a house with 3 clients and a few other coworkers. Last Monday, one of the clients had a high fever and a cough, took them to hospital. Negative for flu test. COVID came back today positive (8 days later, good times).
Even though she stopped coming over right away after that, the weekend before she spent basically the entire weekend here, so I'm assuming I have it. She definitely has it, there's no way she doesn't.
Good times. Good times.
I mean I may have had it...I read a lot of people show limited to no symptoms. I'm in my 30s and relatively healthy. I had a cough, but it's hard for me to tell because I get allergies so I just assumed it was allergies and never developed a fever or anything. This was earlier in the breakout in michigan and my doctor basically told me despite my contact with people who tested positive and having a cough they didnt have a kit to test me. He told me to just stay home and monitor my symptoms, nothing else ever developed. So I dont know.
Live in Oakland county 100% wfh now but my wife isnt. 3 out of 18 workers in her office have either had or been in direct contact with someone that has and still hasn’t closed shop
There was a nasty strain of influenza-B floating around about a month to 2 weeks ago as well. I definitely had it. A coworker, his kid, his girlfriend--also a coworker, all tested positive for it and I was sick the week after being at their house.
But yeah right now I feel fine. Of course now there's that twinge of doubt every time I have a tickle in my throat (you make the joke)
Yea, my grandpa unfortunately died from influenza right when the stay at home order was started. Didnt get to visit him in hospital or have a funeral because of everything going on. The head of the police department division I deal with and have dealt with for years also died of covid 19 last week. He had a limited service today. It's so weird and it's like it hasn't registered with me yet without funerals or anything else.
