You guys are awful whiney over 6-9 inches. DC got hit with 18-24 inches and all I heard from back home was "lol! Just an average day here!"
Snow hitting at the start of rush hour equals bad traffic for rush hour. There is still bread on the shelves at Kroger.
I'm sure I would have froze to death while my car burned around me if I lived somewhere in the Mid Atlantic.
It's about fucking time. People who don't get the fuck over are worse than drumpf. http://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2016/03/left-lane_drivers_beware_state.html
This is awesome. Driving slow in the left lane and fucking up traffic flow should be a killable offense.
With the weather (supposedly) warming up next week, I'm getting excited for spring and summer. Gonna be up north a lot this summer.
If those states were so great, they would have their own sweet thread on TMB. I don't even live their and I think Michigan is the GOAT state. #unbiased
C'mon Cleveland: One hundred fifty miles northwest of here, the residents of Flint, Mich., are still reeling from the drinking water debacle that more than doubled the share of children with elevated levels of lead in their blood — to a peak, in mid-2014, of 7 percent of all children tested. Clevelanders can only sympathize. The comparable number here is 14.2 percent. Jesus Pennsylvania: Statewide, 9.37 percent of children younger than 7 tested had blood levels of 5 micrograms per deciliter, the measure the CDC uses to define an elevated blood lead level. But the Lehigh Valley's three cities scored much higher. At 23 percent, Allentown leads the state. Bethlehem's rate is 14.32 percent, and Easton's 15.9 percent. Fucking Philly is at 10%. Comparably, NYC is at 2%.
Let's not minimize how awful the Flint water situation is by comparing it to third world countries. We should expect better in Michigan.
Wait until I refer to the old state slogan "Lady of the Lake" in the thread title. Corch may literally stroke out.
One last round of snow in Gotham on Saturday and then all next week is supposed to be in the 50s/60s. Cannot wait
Seems like a good place to put this - cool site with Mr. Basketball history in Michigan. http://www.peschstats.com/mrbasketball.htm
Hmph, TIL Antonio Gates finished 2nd in Mr. Basketball in 1998. Makes sense, since he went to Kent State on a basketball scholarship and all, but I never hear him associated with the state of Michigan in any way, for whatever reason.
Yup, Detroit Central. They won at least 1 state title - he was good. Didn't he have a pretty good college hoops career?
99-2000 8) Gerrit Brigitha, Niles - 60 Kid was such a beast, only guy I know of from Niles to go D1 at Central. Little Freshman Niles was awestruck by this 6'8" kid rolling around the halls.
I'm sure I've on TMB about this before, but Vernors, while still in a class by itself amongst ginger ales, is but a pale imitation of the old timey version. When soda fountains were a thing, the raw unbottled stuff would strip paint.
I'm not sure what was going on this morning, but in the span of 45 seconds a guy ran a red light coming from my left while I was turning left with the arrow, and then a douchebag sat through half a green light in front of me until the hoking horns finally woke him up. The guy who ran the red light was lucky I was paying attention; if I had just made my turn he would have drilled me. He had his phone up to his face, of course. I'm assuming the guy who sat through the light was also on his phone.
