I was a three sport athlete in HS and played soccer in college for a bit and I never felt like less of an athlete than when I tried CC skiing for the first time in HS. Woof, I made that look ugly. Never again. You win, cross country.
This place is actually amazing: https://www.forbushcorner.com https://www.mlive.com/life/2020/01/...farm-has-become-a-nordic-ski-destination.html
Know some people that go to Stoney Creek for it as well. Still being relatively new to the area myself, the Metroparks are one of my favorite things about living here
https://www.detroitnews.com/story/n...to-lyon-township-home-causes-fire/4114601001/ Plane crashed in Lyon Township. The names of the three folks in the plane who died haven't been made public but it was almost assuredly the pilot/owner, his wife and their son, a freshman at Michigan State. Very nice people. Their family business has been building houses in SE Michigan for a long time.
You'd think, it sounds like they were very close to the runway. We were out that way around 4pm and the weather was fine.
It says they were flying a Piper PA-24, which is plane that stopped production 50 years ago. I'm sure they are solid machines and all but man, I dunno if I'm trying to regularly fly around the country in a 50 year old plane.

I'm also moving to the best marijuana economy this side of the Rockies this weekend. Maybe meet up on the interstate and do some hand stuff? Mouth?
I'm in Ann Arbor for the next few days. I've been to Zingerman's and Frita Batido's. Any other places I need to be sure that I try out before I go? Open to any recommendations or #Michigan Wolverines favorites.
Also: - Grizzly Peak Brewing Company has good food and beer, and a very tasty cheddar ale soup. Not sure I'd get it for takeout, though. - I'm a big fan of the Maize N Blue Deli, where Michael Phelps famously ate. The Maize N Blue Special is a very good sandwich. - Pizza House is really good and if you want a unique Ann Arbor experience get a chipati salad with grilled chicken and ranch and chipati dressing on the side. - If you like Korean food just use google to pick one.
This. I'd add Buddy's, too, while not Ann Arbor specific, it's Michigan specific. I also love Mr. Spots. Really just a shitty time to be here as most of the places I'd recommend would be for indoor dining. I don't know if Casey's is open but they're an underrated place with great food. Avalon has good scones and coffee.
Yeah, it's not ideal to be here right now but had some extenuating things come up and so here I am. I appreciate these recommendations and will check them out. HOMES brewery looks like it has some really interesting things on tap so I'm looking forward to visiting a dispensary and getting some draft bottles from them.
tell me about bro, i can't handle all these dispensaries and my parents just talking about pot in their day-to-day jargon. not to mention sports betting on the way too ...
I live like an hour and a half give or take from AA. Honestly it'd probably be pretty tough for me to make it out there during the week lol
You're correct. He has been extremely helpful via PM. We'll probably hit up Grand Rapids when/if this covid shit gets under control. Any and all recommendations are welcome
not sure I've ever seen as many deer as up here. Gotta imagine they cause tons of accidents in the summer months when they're better able to hide in trees along roadways Michigan deer hunting must be pretty damn good
I adore Owl’s habanero bacon. I also love their Buffalo wings. Just things to keep in mind if you’re ever nearby.
You're about the 3rd-4th person in the last couple months i've heard hype up Owl's Up this way, my favorite wings are at the Oxford Tap House, gotta get them Tap-style Also recently had the Clarkston Union mac & cheese for the first time...lived up to the hype. The burger I got, though, was fucking garbage.
Vinsetta Garage is owned by the same guy and also sells that Mac. It’s good but I’m more a fan of their pasta bowls.
Why would anyone get that plain white and blue license plate when you can choose from two other cool ones for the same fee?
I’m only a few blocks away, and I must confess that I’ve made a few halftime visits for Nachos during PAC 12 After Dark (in normal times)
