It's understandable. It's a bucket list trip for fans and they have their best team in their lifetime. Welcome to Lambeau.
I tell anyone that will listen to visit Lambeau. I actually suggest it to people to consider going to a game other than their team to just not have a rooting interest and just take it all in. Lambeau field in a scenario that I don't care is heaven on earth imo
Well the outcome obviously sucked but Lambeau was everything and more. Even with the rain, it was unbelievable. Can't wait to go back.
I think I posted this after the Minnesota game too, but just remember where this team was a year ago. Losses to the Raiders, Broncos, Steelers, Giants. Didn't know whether we had anything at WR. The beat down of Minnesota, win over the Bears, and beat down of the Cowboys didn't erase that reality. It provided hope for the future - but it is still a young team making too many mistakes.
Simplest thing, the team might have had a chance if Jenkins could shotgun snap the ball yesterday. Felt like every big play was off because of a shitty snap.
“Whenever you move off a player like Preston Smith, you’re a couple injuries away from, ‘Man, that may not have been the best thing,'” Gutekunst said Tuesday. “But at the same time, I really do like our depth … I think allowing these two guys (Mosby and Cox) to get on the field a little bit and maybe some snaps to go to some other guys, too, I think, will help us.” Translation: Smith wasn't doing shit despite getting the most snaps so might as well spread em around to the other guys. Probably see a step up in role for Van Ness. This years draft go heavy at CB and edge.
just got my tickets for Sunday's game at Soldier, incredibly excited Anyone with experience have good recs for pre/post-game drinks close by?
Schneidman had a mailbag an there was a question regarding which players need to step up to earn extensions. The 2022 draft did so much to course correct the roster with cheap talent Tom: pay the man Quay: no on 5th year Wyatt: id lean yes on 5th year but rest of season is key Watson Doubs Walker Rhyan Enagbare The bottom of the list is all useful players but don't necessarily need to be prioritized. One of Watson or Doubs must be kept I would think.
Brilliant to not bring pressure on that 3rd and long after sacking him twice. Make him throw quickly.
They need to completely scrap everything they've been doing on red-zone offense this year. The penalties are the #1 thing, but why a team that runs the ball this well between the 20's can't get out of their own way to finish drives is so puzzling. It feels like LaFleur gets too cute with play calls and either get blown up or we commit a penalty.
was in attendance in the end zone where the block happened if they hit that FG, the stadium absolutely explodes. The Chicago fans’ frustration/tension was palpable, just a demoralized fan base. Honestly kinda felt bad for them once the elation of the win wore off. Soldier is awesome, Bears fans were awesome, we’re never losing to this team again lmao
I at least like how LaFleur answers questions like this not acting like his decisions are infallible like many coaches do. Acknowledged the pros and cons of each option While we’re on questionable decisions, what about LaFleur’s to go for it on fourth-and-goal from the 6, down 5 with 11:29 remaining? The head coach had some thoughts Monday. GO DEEPER NFL Power Rankings Week 12: A new pair at the top, plus coaching hot seat check-in “There weren’t very many possessions,” LaFleur said. “You just didn’t know when you were going to get the ball back. You could put it like this because this is something you always kind of talk about after the fact: ‘Did we do the right thing?’ I have long conversations with (assistant quarterbacks coach and game management specialist) Connor Lewis, and he was like, ‘Well, you can look at it like this: We can kick the field goal, get the 3 points. That would make it 19-17, and then they had the 50-yard drive.’ … Who knows what happens if they get the ball at the 30 versus they get the ball at the minus-2-yard line, so who knows how it would have played out? I did check with our (staff about) the analytic deal, and I guess it was a difference of, like, 2 percent or 3 percent or something like that in favor of going for it, but that’s not why. I don’t care about that at the end of the day. That doesn’t matter to me. I was just curious, so it’s basically a flip of a coin. “I wish we would have called a different play on third down, in hindsight. I guess once we got inside the 10-yard line, in my mind, it was four-down territory, so that would have allowed us to potentially sneak in another run. Throwing the ball against Cover 2 down there is not always great. It’s very, very hard to do. There’s just not a lot of space. They do a good job with some of the leverages on their safeties, and so the play that was called for on third down really didn’t give Jordan a lot of options there, and then he saw some daylight and he scrambled, and then fourth down, another scramble drill. So when you’re doing that, that’s not ideal. I would say … we’ve got to have a better plan in that situation.”
Let the record show that at least 75 of my mock drafts this spring had picking Bucky Irving* *Until he ran a slow 40 and I knew they would never take him based on their threshold
