So we have pursued Will Fuller like three different times over the years. He can probably be had for a few million. If he is healthy he is like a 10x better MVS who is going to be too expensive to sign. -Cut Cobb -Sign Fuller -Draft a guy in round 2 (unless Olave is somehow still there at 26) -Put second round tender on Lazard -Resign Cobb at reduced cost

No, and that was never the plan for the Packers either. There is urgency on the Packers side to get something done before free agency starts so that they have more flexibility with him at reduced cap hit. That was always the case and his agent putting this out there adds pressure to the Packers to cave to his demands. He's not going to sit out and turn down $20 million + to prove a point though. He's been quoted saying he is not going to turn down money he's already earned, and that franchise tender is money he's already earned.
how good is this contract for the Packers? Blake Martinez signed a 3 year $30.75 million deal 3+ years ago.
I think Nagler said the sticking point with Adams is with the third year being fully guaranteed. Packers only like going out 2.
Said this to my brothers/packers friends this morning. It’s hilarious that Rodger’s best friend took a $5 million dollar cut while Aaron just got McDuck bucks. (hilarious as in, kind of weird but we knew that would be the case)
I love Adams. I hope they trade away all of Rodgers friends and draft 10 runningbacks just to laugh at him.
Who can we trade for at WR? I get it, it may ultimately prove to be the right thing to do, but it sucks.
I totally get why it all went down, it sucks but I do think the Packers got a lot out of it. Having said that, Adams one of my favorite players ever and this sucks. Wish him nothing but the best and glad he got paid. Don’t think that makes Raiders any closer to a super bowl tho. $30 million for a wr is so fucking much. Packers got an insanely good pull back though. I still, especially in nfc, think this doesn’t change the goal. The goal is a super bowl. Going to be a defensive team, a running team, and ultra-efficient Rodgers. They need a wr in draft (Olave & speed guy) and somebody in free agency.
Not here to stir the pot, but do Packers fans even like Rogers anymore? I mean really just seems to fucking GB at this point
I don’t think Love is the right answer moving forward but would’ve been fine with Rodgers leaving in a vacuum. The narrative that Rodgers spreads the ball around better without Adams is probably going to get a lot of run. I think the sample size is way too small to draw conclusions from. This team is worse now and it’s hard to see us taking the next step without Adams.
even some talk of him playing some safety (allowing Packers to move Savage to robber at times) The idea of his playmaking ability at free safety from time-to-time is exciting as hell. Also, Jaire back and healthy the cornerback room is deep as hell. Losing Adams sucked, but it allowed the team to get Rasul back and the defense has a very good chance to be top 5 next year if they take second year in-scheme jump.
the picks are the total wildcard. The style of this team?? Might be a lot different. also hope this forces 2020 creative as fuck Matty and Rodgers is cool with that. Rodgers throwing to schemed wide open guys and then having to do Rodgers is an ideal situation with a defense (playoff game was close to perfect and Rodgers decided to have the dumbest game of his career)
