“We didn’t even talk about it, to tell you the truth,” LaFleur says — it being his quarterback’s future. “It wasn’t the time or place to put the pressure on him. … It’s not why we were there. Ultimately, we were there to support David and Frankie, and I didn’t want to take away from that experience.” I really want this dude to get a title, because I think the culture he has created among the players has been absolutely outstanding. I think this kind of explains that.
i've ran numerous mock drafts on PFF and the number of times i end up with Olave and Burks makes me happy
I'll start by saying I hoped they would bring back MVS to see him develop on a second contract which is where we've seen other players develop at wr, but the amount of shit posting on Twitter if blaming Rodgers and his contact for his departure is insane. In a 10 team fantasy team last year he probably wasn't rostered. I don't think what he got is unreasonable, but I'm also not going to lose sleep over it. Get a veteran, get a rookie or two, we'll be fine
I don't think MVS is anything special and am not at all sad we didn't pay him. You can get close to what he offers for a fraction of the price.
This is my maximum angst but probably defensible mock. I feel like this years wr crop is a bunch of really good #2 guys but not necessarily a lot of #1s. A number 3 edge is a big need and there is no guarantee that Savage gets a 5th year option (in this economy?) Wyatt would work instead of Karl too if available. To get an alpha #1 it's going to have to be a trade or Julio and pray that you get a year of rejuvenated health
Bell and Pickens in the 2nd would be a great haul but good lord the Twitter melties if we take two defensive players at 22 and 28.
I feel like he is Eq 2.0 quite frankly. If he's able to stay healthy maybe he makes his way to a second contract but if he's not available teams will move on to the next guy. Unless you think Smoke is going to show up in the league and be all pro, he's got a lot of work to do to get open against NFL corners
This would work, but I might look for a safety somewhere in there instead of a guard or the second DT.
I feel like Nagler is probably being used. He doesn't peddle rumors often, so he wouldn't be saying it if he wasn't legit hearing it from a well placed source. I just question the motive of whomever is feeding it to him.
The only thing I am prepared for tomorrow is surprise. Surprise at what bonkers direction we go in as always or surprise that we actually drafted what we need.
We should try to trade up with Philly using our 2023 first round pick. They seem to be stocking up assets for QB's next year. No idea if we could get that done without including 22 or 28 but that would be sweet if they could
I'd rather just use Aaron Jones for those targets than draft a guy in the first with no route tree and can't block.
It's odd to me that for a prospect that isn't a consensus top 10 pick that there aren't strengths and weaknesses to his game and that perhaps that a weakness may not fit well with a QB that is notorious for not trusting young receivers. A guy that caught 68% of his receptions w/in 10 yards of the los might not be the direction they go is all I'm saying.
I think there are better fits from Burks perspective too. A team like the Chargers that have a WR1 and a longer timeline to work with that can start by using him as a toy and let him develop the rest of his game. Titans too. I could get on board with it if we paired him with David Bell in the third to be the higher floor lower ceiling play at the position, but if we go that route I might prefer to do it with Dotson in the first.
In the seventh I run out of fucks to give I also think Coan could hang around in the league as a backup.
Kyren in the 4th will never happen, but if they want to maximize the next 3 years with #12 getting Kyren to take snaps to block and catch passes, while freeing Jones and Dillon to do their thing would work.
https://wisportsheroics.com/propose...commanders-swaps-jordan-love-for-pro-bowl-wr/ I’d do this in a heartbeat
Would love London, but we 100% need some speed at some point if we have a chance to get him. nobody on the roster has the over the top speed and with a guy like Rodgers you absolutely need 1 guy that can make the safety sit deep or pay if they get greedy.
If they stick with 11 or whatever picks they have I hope they get at least one or two Lb/s's with the expectation that they are at least + on all special teams
