This game has been three stretches of extreme 3rd down luck. Started with us converting everything, including a bunch of 3rd and longs and throwing it short of the sticks and breaking tackles, to getting shut out on 3rd down - even a bunch of 3rd and shorts. Now we finally get another 3rd.
nfl, on the road, traveling east, in the extreme heat. don’t give a fuck about them missing players, Packers looked better in 2 of the 3 phases of the game (special teams!) and anytime you look as good as Tampa’s defense you take it. For this team to be good the defense has to carry the load early on. 2-1 isn’t anything to sneeze at. Even Buffalo, who has looked incredible has the same record. The NFL is a slugfest and you want to be healthy and playing well come playoff time. Week-to-week.
