So there was a lot of angst this morning on the radio pregame over Bakhtiari not playing Would he be playing if they played on grass this week? Is he doing some stunt to protest artificial turf? If so, Would he be doing this w/o what happened to Rodgers? ...or.... Was the thinking that this was going to be a tough game w/ all the injuries and they thought they may struggle with or without him so save him? Or did he tweak something minor and play it safe?
Savage has to do more than just whiff on that play, just like he can't let flea flicker be completed. He had two chances to win this game and he blew both
MLF cooked up a bad final drive playcall. Give love some check downs instead of going for it all on the 1st down.
Feel like the bag of tricks that LaFleur could doctor up ran out. Atlanta has a talented defense and they eventually locked it down.
Love made a couple of great throws that Atlanta either made an insane play on or just wasn’t caught. Had also a bad 4th quarter and a few boneheaded mistakes (not calling the right snap cadence being the biggest one). Defensively the players played bad and Joe Barry sat with 2 safeties in a deep shell against a team with a first year starting qb while they rushed, seemingly, at will. Offense couldn’t maintain shit in 4th quarter with a comedy of fuck ups. Man, AJ Dillon just doesn’t look great right now either. I weirdly am kind of already like, ‘yea, Love can make all the throws and isn’t going to be an issue. Think we have a keeper.’ Feels a lot like first year with Rodgers as starter. Need Watson back, and Jones and in exchange we get to punt Joe Barry’s ass to the moon.
AJ didn’t look good because they played defense to negate him. The same D they should have played against Atlanta. Also agreed on first year Love and Rodgers. As bad as it is, he needs the situations and to be in that position. I agree the fourth was a myriad of mistakes but have to put the game in Loves hands there more so than they did IMO. Yes he’s going to fuck up but he’s also going to learn.
Got my annual season ticket place update yesterday. Now at 55,200. Jump of 2,500 over 2022, if that continues I may have a realistic shot before I am too old.
Reminds me, wife and I were planning a trip in 2019. You know how that turned out, I think it's about time again.
Delta used to have direct flights from Cincinnati to Green Bay when I was at Miami. It would always be mostly PG business travel and 6-8 college kids
We went to the Bears game in December 2019. Spent a long weekend there and did all the tours and stuff. Glad we got that in since Covid and now kids would've postponed that several more years.
Kind of the opposite for me. Both kids out of school now, onto others but over 18 so it's a bit easier to take a long weekend and hang. Unfortunately this season will not work, my wife has been to a sub zero game and said never again. So we need to hit in the earlier part of the season, but this year we will be gone for 10 days in October (bye week).
Our upcoming schedule is jacked. We go: Week 3 Sunday at noon Week 4 Thursday Week 5 Monday Week 6 bye But after that we have Vikings, Rams, Steelers which should be other middle of the pack teams we will need to pick up wins against. I am of the mind that if we had a bye after the London game last year that season may play out completely differently. We lost convincingly to the Washington and the Jets (after blowing the game against the Giants too). Going 0-3 in those games was where the season was lost. Probably for the best all things considered. No way we win a playoff game against the Eagles or 9ers last year
heard the plan was Watson out yesterday regardless, built in rest day. I don’t expect them both back, but I’d love (no pun intended) if we can get even 1 of the two.
How the ref said Love was ruled down before the throw (which was a few yards from a RB so not grounding) when he didn't blow the whistle nor was in the process of blowing the whistle. Just making shit up.
