Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** I think you underestimate the horribleness that is Jonathan Bornstein.
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** True. They haven't even created a decent chance really, but no team has really created a decent chance against them either, but Bornstein is known for creating chances for the other team.
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** Bornstein Also beginning to think Buddle slept wit Bob's daughter, wife, or Michaels girl friend because he played so well leading up to the tournament and cant even get on the field
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** I'd really like to see us go on the attack in the 2nd half and sit Bornstein for Holden or Feilhaiber. Bring in Buddle for Gomez if he has difficulty adjusting. Ahh...20 min!
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** FUUUUUUUUUUUU Radio is on AM and iPod only has FM. MAD
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** If England had to score, glad it was Defoe.
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** Another legit US goal disallowed. Dempsey was ONSIDE, scored, and they raised the flag and said he was offside. They've showed the replay about 15,000 times, and there's absolutely no doubt he was on.
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** Another disallowed goal which they called off sides, but he was clearly on/even. The world hates us.
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** yup england could get thru w/ only 1 legit goal, while US scores 5 legit goals and may not even get thru w/2 of them being game winners and disallowed......love it when the refs get to be the stars of the match and not the players
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** Smug and Swag Levels currently off chart
Re: ***Group C Thread (USA v Algeria, Slovenia v England)*** Now if Germany wins we get to kick Serbia and Neven Subotic's ass.
Is it wrong that I still think Donovan is a douche? I give him loads of props on the goal but he still seems like a huge douche for some reason. The US needs a captain that has a Clint Eastwood type personality. Also wish we had a crazy Deion Sanders swag on a 1,000 striker.
For me personally, that match released every frustration I have had since Lloyd retired. From OSU 06 to RichRod to Even Turner burying us with a half court shot in the Big Ten Tourney 1 second away from the semis to the disallowed goals to everything, I was a crying mess after it went in. Feel like all my sports guilt/drama got lifted with that. Amazing day, amazing feeling, love this country, LOVE this team!
My mistake thought he was. Still think he is a douche. You can be a good soccer player and still be a huge douche (C. Ronaldo for example). You mad
So we have an Dutch version of Bankz? An American who roots for another country and talks shit about our team and players. Get the fuck out with your hatred of Dempsey and more importantly Donovan.
gaknight you mad too. I actually like Clint Dempsey a lot. Love the way that guy plays. Its not anti-american to dislike Beasley or Donovan. I am glad Donovan is on the US team because he is a good player but I can still think he comes across as a douche. I am a huge AU football fan but that doesn't mean I like every player on that team. I do root for the Dutch but not against my own country. I would love to see the US win it all even if that meant beating Holland along the way. I have explained why I pull for them in other threads. If you have been watching soccer since the mid to late 80's you will know team USA was non-existent back then.
Bocanegra was actually a bad ass Safety in h.s. and had a scholarship offer to play football at UCLA, but of course college soccer and football are during the same season.
In So Cal, h.s. soccer is played in the winter. But he still managed to play club soccer and h.s. football during the same season.
